The movie is terrible. Even if not compared with other "Batmen ". It was the right decision not to make the Joker the main villain, because this Batman would never have coped with him. The whole plot of the film seems to be based on the fact that the main character reveals the whole essence of a rotten city, revealing more and more corrupt officials. Which makes absolutely no sense, because we are literally told from the very beginning that the government is completely rotten, and no one can be trusted. The entire Bruce/Batman movie, along with the only normal cop, is looking for a rat, hoping that he will lead them to the killer. And what do we get? That's right, nothing. Because it didn't help in any way.
As for the cast. I'm not questioning Robert Pattinson's acting talent in any way, but this role... The feeling that Bella still left Edward for the wolf, and he decided to change his occupation. Sad, melancholic, with these sometimes not very relevant arguments about the meaning of life. With exactly the same facial expression throughout the movie. Are you being shot at? A kiss? Did you almost lose a loved one? Did you find out that your father was involved in a murder? That all this shit is almost your fault? What's the difference? Wrinkles appear from emotions, so we keep the same expression. The mask, by the way, helped him a lot in this.
In general, if you watch the first half hour of the movie and the last, skipping the middle, you won't lose much.
P.S. The scene at the very end, where Batman leads people, is the only frame worth watching, but watch the whole movie just for this moment...
