A beautiful and epic movie! Asian mythology is fascinating!

I also didn't expect anything from the film, the beginning is interesting, there is an intrigue somewhere in the middle, and then the Chinese opera begins with jumping on ropes, complete crap is already making me sleepy (

The film is decent, I love the Asian flavor, it turned out to be such a beautiful and cheerful movie. Wong, even though there wasn't much of him, but how much I adore this character. And, of course, my love for Aquafina grows stronger with each of her appearances in a new movie.

P.S. I almost missed the scene after the credits

The feeling is still twofold after watching. Asian mythology, of course, gives some new breath to the cinematic universe - I would like to see something else in this vein. And the film itself turned out to be very beautiful. But on the other hand, the film is kind of chaotic, everything is too fast and, unfortunately, predictable. It seemed that none of the characters were really revealed, I didn't have time to get attached to anyone, except headless Morris)))

Wow, you! Another Marvel movie! What a joy. Okay, I liked the movie, but unfortunately it's too Marvel. If DC, even if not always successfully, tries to really experiment with genres, take risks (the Joker, the second Suicide Squad), then Feigi, having invented a profitable formula, does not deviate from it almost one step. The fourth phase of the unified universe was a great chance to take a step back after the global events that took place in the Avengers, move on to more personal, chamber stories and update the formula. However, hello, we have arrived, all the same hordes of computer monsters, red-blue energy rays, jokes and witchcraft where it was possible to do without them. "Shang Chi" could have become a great martial arts movie, fortunately it even has two great fight scenes in the first half: on the bus (Jackie Chan's ears were clearly visible there - his students took part in the production) and in a skyscraper. But, no, then the hero gets soaked in magic and starts almost flying and spewing streams of energy. A little hyperbolization, of course, would not hurt, but outright fantasticism spoiled the impression for me personally. It's the same with the villain. On the one hand, Kevin Feige, the skeet boss at the MCU, is doing a great job - he skillfully corrects the mistakes of past films. There was a false commander in the third Iron Man, who was overwhelmed by comic book fans. Now they have introduced a rather interesting real Mandarin (by the way, they did not forget the previous version either). He seems to evoke both sympathy and fear, and everything leads to a truly personal battle between him and the main character. Make a tough fight. Even if it exaggerates the possibilities of characters in the style of "Hero", "House of Daggers " and "Crouching Tiger". Again, no. They shoot rings at each other, then another schmuck from alternative worlds comes out and lets fuck everyone with tentacles on a gray, dim background. Uiiii! Now about the good stuff. If you like everything that happens with Marvel, then this is a worthy representative of the movie comic. There is everything that these projects are loved for. Even a little more. For example, Chinese mythology, which adds atmosphere and, in general, expands the world of Marvel.

A villain, again, who has an unusual mission (even if he behaves frankly stupid in the end. Well, you can already understand that bullshit is happening and deviate from the plan, and not continue to move forward towards the goal like a blockhead). A pleasant main character. His partner sometimes annoys him with jokes, but the screenwriters know how to shut her up in time. In general, this is clearly not the second case of Natalie Portman's friend from Thor. Naturally, the appearance of familiar personalities from other MCU films. A couple of cameos (I didn't expect one at all, I thought about that movie, Feigi tries to forget like a terrible dream) and another old man was made secondary, although just in this case I expected that they would do with a small episode. The action (with previous reservations) was shot well, and the computer graphics, albeit slightly cartoonish, are also not bad. In general, the fourth phase has so far turned out to be much better than expected.

I'm reviewing it now and realize that it's even more crumpled than it seemed at first. What's happening? What kind of dragons? Why did they bring the Mandarin back?
Maybe if it was an independent film, it would be cool, but as part of the KVM... It's going to be a circus.
I haven't heard anything about the future of Shang Chi.
