Keanu Reeves is in talks to star in the "Triangle of Sadness" director's new movie

Keanu Reeves ("John Wick") is in talks to star in a new movie directed by Swedish director Ruben Östlund, a two-time Palme d'Or winner.

The film will be called "The Entertainment System Is Down" and will tell the story of an airplane in which the entertainment system breaks down, causing chaos and rage among the passengers. The movie will be something of a sequel to Östlund's "Triangle of Sadness", which won the Palme d'Or in 2022.

Reeves, if negotiations conclude successfully, will join a cast of several international stars. Other details about the cast and characters of the project are not yet available.

Östlund previously revealed that "The Entertainment System Is Down" will be an exploration of how people interact in the small confined space of an airplane. He also added that he wants his movie to provoke the largest mass audience walkout in Cannes Film Festival history.
