I was carried away by the scene in the club, where a girl sat down to the GP with the words:
– I heard you're a racing driver. Would you like to introduce Carlos Sainz?
Another great soundtrack, all the songs are on repeat now
and the GP - Grand Prix is from France. The big prize is part of the team's name.
just a play on words (letters).
and without Nonsense, the movie wouldn't look like this...
... or it would look as depressing as the naked gun remake without Leslie (((
The footage is just great. It's almost like watching another Grand Prix. At the same time, there are no great shots from inside the helmet of the F-1 pilot.
The sound is also great. It's just goosebumps. Of course, I recommend watching in halls with Dolby sound from IMAX.
Music keeps you in suspense, but it's not Hans Zimmer's best work, even though he claims so himself.
High-quality cinema, worthy of support in cinemas.
I'll definitely go a second time (my main indicator of a good movie worthy of watching again), but watch it in the original and with high-quality sound.
8 out of 10
Well, the more you know and understand F1, the less likely you are to enjoy the movie.
And how did Alonso approach a separate art form 😁
Most of the time, the movie keeps you in suspense and it's hard to look away from the screen. emotions are at their limit, excitement and fear for the heroes do not let go.
the sound and soundtracks here are worth special attention. + the operator's work and all these camera spans are a thrill.
Good cast, Nonsense pleased!
Special respect for the soundtrack, just listening in a circle.
It looks great from start to finish, especially in the cinema on the big screen, and 2 and a half hours fly by unnoticed. The painting is flawlessly executed technically, and the way the races themselves are shown is just great. Zimmer was pleased with the cool soundtrack. And the gorgeous Pitt, which is just nice to look at.
At the moment, it's probably the best movie I've seen this year.
And Kosinski gets from me the status of a director who has earned the credit of trust, and I will definitely be waiting for a new film.
But the plot was sometimes annoying for its predictability and idolization of Brad Pitt's character. He's always right, his only conflict is "well, you don't listen to anyone," but why would he listen if he's always right? The young have a lot to learn from Brad Pitt, but Brad Pitt has nothing to learn from the young, he is perfect. Well, the romantic line also feels superfluous. There are zero questions for the actors at the same time.
So, F1.
The APX GP Formula 1 outsider team invites Sonny Hayes, who was once a racing driver, but quickly curtailed his career due to injury.
The team's bosses are threatening to sell it, because they haven't won a single point, and they're dragging their feet at the end like losers.
Sonny brings with him chaos, a new perspective and a new experience, but putting up with an experienced player is difficult for the first pilot, he is sure that the old-fashioned methods are no longer in use.
The movie is cool. I have no idea how it was shot or refined using graphics, but I felt the wind in my hair from passing cars.
The idea is generally simple, an old man comes and pulls the team through the thorns, rallying and showing by example how it is necessary and possible to drive.
Yes, he's teetering on the edge of breaking the rules, and he's going to have to move a lot of pitfalls, but the formula still works.
Add in half a drop of romance, murderous Pitt, and the excitement of the race, and at the end we get a great movie that should definitely be watched on the big screen.
Joseph Kosinski made my cinematic heart so happy.
I still didn't have enough interaction with other pilots, thanks for Zach Brown, Wasser and Toto Wolf, of course, but I would like more than a few words from Alonso, and I think the other pilots would not have been silent in reality when meeting Hayes. Pilots have traditional dinners together, especially at the end of the season, none of this either.
But in general, of course, it was shot well, the atmosphere of the races is impressive, I can only praise it. The film still looked deeper into F1 than it could have.
More people would have liked the film if they had taken into account the realities of F1, as well as another American sports drama, which are all cut according to the same pattern - the underdog wins in the end.
The movie is fire! 🔥
Yes, the plot is expected in some places, but this did not spoil the overall impression.
A gorgeous visual, as if she herself participated in the races. And soundtracks are honey for the ears. Hans Zimmer, as always, added a special aesthetic to the film. I was surprised to hear a track from Don Toliver, a huge like for that. Well, the cast… Brad Pitt's charisma was amazing.
Considering that the film was shot on the real stages of the F1 championship, everything looked very realistic (although I'm not a fan of this sport).
For the most part, the film looks easy and interesting, from time to time, not forgetting to add a pinch of tension at the right moments.
The variety of musical accompaniment is my honor. For every taste: there's pop music and rnb, club music and "classics" in the person of Ganz Zimmer, there's something Redneck and, oddly enough, everything synergizes as it should, you sit and stomp on any movement!
Kosinski has made strong films more than once: Tron:Legacy, Top Gun: Maverick, The Cause of the Brave and others, and no matter how loud it may sound, for me personally, it becomes on a level with Nolan, Villeneuve, Richie, as one of the guarantors of a quality pastime!
The film is rated 9 out of 10
The film won't be the best in the genre, and it's probably my favorite, too, but it's a very pleasant time to spend with it.
I was very worried when I watched the races, you don't know how each of them will end, who will come to the finish line. And there are enough races there to enjoy and get a dose of adrenaline.
There is also a small love line, but it is very sluggish, in other words, it is not interesting. In principle, if it hadn't been there, we wouldn't have noticed. The main focus and all bets are placed on racing.
The film itself is kind, there are no pronounced negative characters, everything is on the light, although it would seem that there should be a super rivalry in this kind of sport, and the money there is not small. But the directors and scriptwriters wanted to show us the perfect Formula 1 race and what hard work, perseverance and brains are needed to win.
For me, the film is very good, it was shot perfectly, it's obvious that a lot of money was invested. I recommend watching it.
Brad Pitt looks great as a pilot, especially considering his age. I was also very surprised when I found out that the music was written by Hans Zimmer. I really want to see it in the original now.
I don't want to find fault at all. You can describe the characters more deeply. But why ? They are revealed within the framework of this story. Of course, everything follows the usual pattern, but it's working - admit it, we wanted Sony to win the race))
You can do without a love line. But it is in it that the protagonist gets naked, Julia. The formula for him is one of the ways to "catch the wind," and a very gambling one at that. Well, it's a thrill to reach victory from the bottom. I see that as the main thing in the film.
P.S. I love Moneyball with Pitt, I used to catch vibe from there: to win as a loser, you don't have to play by the rules of the leaders
about teamwork, about everyone's contribution to a burning cause: about the passion for racing and achieving goals through long hours of hard work
It looks so easy and interesting that you don't notice how the movie ended.
Music and soundtrack have a separate like
I recommend this movie to all my friends and acquaintances, it's really cool and entertaining.
Even Louis Hemelton played himself.
It's good that it didn't turn out like in Ford versus Ferrari. Sometimes there are unexpected victories in real life! That's a thrill!
Great humor, there were a few moments when the whole room was laughing together.
Brad Pitt is very good, he plays very well. And in general, the cast is very successful.
about the soundtrack, the only thing they said a hundred times about the quality
was that it would be somehow more interesting if JP had won
, he had never been interested in F1, and then he found out that there were two cars involved. I found out that there are even some tactics, tricks, and use of slipstream.
7 cars out of 10
Pitt doesn't disappoint at his age. The interaction of the main characters was not boring to watch.
Both ost and visual are beautiful.
Of course, the movie is predictable, but it doesn't get boring.
I don't regret going to the cinema.
Brad Pitt is exactly the same as in the previous 50 films. But Bardem was paid money, at least some joy.
Sorry, but what did you want? To make them fly, shoot missiles? This is not Mario Kart
But damn, the movie really sucks.
I think this film will definitely get a nomination (and more than one).
As realistic as the possibilities of turning fantasies into a magnificent picture have become in our time, the scenarios have degraded for some reason. My eyes are happy, but my brain is in shock. Do termites write scripts for them or are they ciliated slippers?! A B-movie-level story from the 70s. But the picture and 61-year-old Brad Pitt are good.
At the end, when GG started to leave the stage to a standing ovation, Chet also got a little emotional. 🥹
The movie is well-groomed, of course, but what to expect from Pitt) 5/5
Brad and Javier look bombastic. A special bonus for the Hemsworth brothers cameo^^
- To what? .."
To the fact that you will get incredible pleasure from watching!
It's been a long time since I've watched movies so relentlessly. Brad Pitt is perfect as Sonya Hayes - in great shape, playing powerfully. The musical accompaniment is beyond praise. Well, cars, racing, liveries, detailing - you just can't take your eyes off. Aesthetic pleasure 🤩
I recommend watching it)
I didn't believe the movie at all, it's not real, it's not alive. Empty, pretentious, overly precise phrases and script twists. The actors are great, but everything looks fake. You just don't see the depth in all this. This is already the case with several Apple films and with several recent works by Pitt, although he is wonderful and I love him very much as an actor.
Awesome, in general. Look.
Perhaps the interest will return against the background of the film.
Why does everyone find fault with certain moments? It's a movie, guys!
You need to watch and get high!
I'm not a fan of Formula 1, but it looks like a commercial, and not expensive, judging by the picture.
In general, the film may be suitable for young people, for whom all these male tantrums are new.
the Daytona track at the beginning of the film is the same as in "days".

Brad Pitt plays the tough guy again after Once upon a Time in Hollywood. Sigma Mana
and Sonny want to win all the races in the world and die behind the wheel.
I already thought the main character would die in the end. such high marks. This is his last race...😂
Joseph Kosinski knows how to shoot stylishly - Tron 2, Oblivion. No wonder he's an architect by training. And I am very glad that he will be the one shooting the new Miami Vice. such a cool style, just as Miami Vice author Michael Mann intended.
black and gold colors. the garage is like a laboratory. And Negroes fit in well there, by the way.😆
Sonny rams in front of the riders in the 1st race. Oh, how I wish I could do that😠
Sonny Ruben - Hire computer racers.
a reference to Gran Turismo?
Tobias Menzies is playing a jerk again. He told Hayes that you were hired to make the team lose.
Ted Lasso
Pier - The press, social media, fans. That's not what I'm racing for. It's all noise.
He was filled with😄
It's a pity that Schumacher is not even able to make a cameo😥 I remember watching his races on TV at night as a child😌
judging by the English, there are a lot of cameo pilots here, but they are all just "mimicry" without replicas. but their bosses lit up funny. The evil rival is Guenther Steiner - ruk. Haas teams. "What does Ferrari think about Apex? - Nothing" - Frédéric Vasseur - hands. the Ferrari teams. "If you want to change the team, you know where to find me" - Toto Wolff - ruk. commands and co-operation. Mercedes.
Watching it feels like you're going through all these moments and what Sony had to go through. Emotions are just tinny.. It was a hell of a race. I can't put into words what an epic movie it turned out to be. ❤️🔥
And with Pitt, too.. There are just no words...
🤌😎
By the way, Pitt is very well preserved for his age. It looks very good.
It's a great movie, I advise everyone to watch it) 🍿
"Don't waste your life comparing yourself to others"
Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt), once a successful Formula 1 racer, has been making a living for thirty years after a serious accident, winning small-town (and not so much) races, changing teams and championships like gloves. At one point, Hayes is found by former Formula 1 teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem). Cervantes, unlike his former friend, does not live in a trailer and even made a decent fortune to buy his own APXGT team in Formula 1. The problem is that the team hasn't scored a single point in a long time, and Hayes is urgently needed to pass on his invaluable experience to the team's first driver, the young and "bad" Joshua Pierce. If the situation doesn't improve in the remaining nine races, investors will force Ruben to sell the team.
I don't know if I'm so lucky with the racing movies I've watched, or if only good movies have been made on this topic lately, but Joseph Kosinski's F1 didn't ruin the statistics. Of course, the film cannot (or does not even want to try) to surprise with the plot. This is a typical sports drama about an outcast who overcomes himself and circumstances and wins (over himself or his rivals) - no matter what kind of sport he is talking about. Anyway, as Shirley Bassey used to sing: "I've seen it before. And I see it again. It's just that history is repeating itself once again." And the drama here is simpler and not as catchy as, say, in the superior F1 Racing and Ford vs Ferrari. This does not mean that this is a bad thing here - the charisma of Pitt and Bardem is not going anywhere, and the rest of the secondary, but the stellar cast perfectly performs the well-known techniques and moves. They know that we know - and everyone enjoys it, yes.
Nevertheless, Kosinski produced a technological miracle. In fact, I'm glad that Kosinski, after the modest results of "Tron: Legacy" and "Oblivion," did not completely disappear from the big screens, managed to pull through and even gained a foothold in Hollywood not only as a visionary tech guy, but also someone who can bring profit to studios. After the stunning success of Tom Cruise's personal flight simulator called "Top Gun: Maverick," Kosinski reassembled an almost complete offscreen team, which, by the way, is in no way inferior to the people in the frame. The cinematographer was Claudio Miranda (Oscar for "Life of Pi"), the editor was Stephen Mirrione ("Survivor", "Birdman", Oscar for "Traffic"), the composer was Hans Zimmer (no comment), the script was written by Ehren Krueger (ate not one dog on "Transformers", but also in suspense understands by writing remakes of "Bells" and "The Key to all Doors"). Why do I focus on these names separately? Well, I listed Kruger for the company, yes...
The operator creates all sorts of obscenities, thrusting the latest millipodric cameras into all sorts of interesting places (on the car, in the car, around the car, into the pilot's helmet, almost into the pilot himself), giving out indecently cool shots from unimaginable angles that make the jaw drop. They say it was cool in the sequel to "Top Gun" (well, there are planes there, that's understandable), but here Kosinski and Miranda kicked responsible people and created even smaller and higher-quality strays that weigh less, but shoot even better.
At the same time, the editor created a single canvas from 5,000 hours of footage in two years (thanks to the strikes of screenwriters and actors), which now moves chaotically, transmitting the tension of pilots and technicians, then smoothly and exquisitely shows all the teams. The picture here is wonderful. At the same time, thanks to the filmmakers, you can feel what it's like to drive a car, change the wheels of this car, or watch Formula relatively calmly as a spectator - fortunately, some of the footage can be placed in a live broadcast of the race, and no one will notice the catch.
Zimmer also released a memorable soundtrack that combines live orchestral music and synthesizers, symbolizing the synthesis of man and machine.
Well, special thanks to Pitt and Demson Idris, who raced live (albeit in modified Formula 2 cars), adds realism. Tom Cruise still influenced Hollywood with his self-performed stunts in "Missions" and became an example for many actors of the same scale.
By the way, it's funny, but there's no one-man villain/rival in the movie that Hayes, Cervantes, or Pierce are fighting. The opponents are just the names of famous Formula 1 drivers (Louis Hamilton, by the way, is listed as a producer). They are not represented here as individual personalities, although they glow several times in the frame. In this regard, F1 does not resemble a standard sports drama (well, you know, Apollo Creed or Ivan Drago is mandatory for Rocky), but, say, Nolan's Dunkirk, where the Germans were spherical in a vacuum. Actually, I have a suspicion that one of the characters has the surname Cervantes for a reason, and Pitt and Bardem are so modern here, Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, who are fighting windmills together. At the same time, F1 still manages to keep in suspense, constantly throwing up some unusual situations that the APXGT team drivers find themselves in, or which they themselves are the catalysts for. Actually, I stopped watching Formula 1 after the death of Ayrton Senna. Well, how did you leave it?.. My father stopped watching, and I stopped watching with him, because I was at a rather tender age. Well, periodically, once every couple of years, they returned to the airwaves of some particularly high-profile events. So, watching F1, I was like, "Wow! Do they have such rules now?!", or "Wow! How many nuances!", or "And he's clever! Very clever!" However, later, when I read everything on the subject, it turned out that Ehren Krueger either messed up a lot in his script, or wrote something based on real events of the past (all sorts of Pitt's deceptions based on the 2008 scandal at the Singapore Grand Prix), and, obviously, the organizers of Formula 1 would now they had already noticed a mile away and disqualified the entire team, giving Hayes and Cervantes a stump at the beginning of their quirks. But if you are a person in Formula 1 who is not particularly or not at all knowledgeable, I think you, like me, will not give a damn about all this. It all looks in one go (it's no joke: the movie runs for two and a half hours!). On the other hand, if you understand the "Formula", then it's nice to see about three dozen familiar faces, some of whom even participate in funny interview-type scenes, commenting on the hooligan antics of the hero team.
Kosinski made a perfect film about racing in terms of picture and sound. Plus, it has enough of a skeleton to make it look boring from the point of view of history. Yes, it's simple. Yes, the drama could have brought more (the hero's backstory suggested more glass, sweat and blood). But Kosinski and Kruger decided not to be too harsh and gave out a light but very entertaining movie. I recommend it to fans of the genre.
P.S. Timur Bekmambetov himself would envy the amount of advertising in the film during the "Watches" and the continuation of "Irony of Fate." Well, it's about sports, so it's taken for granted.
Rating: 8 lightning McQueens out of 10
In general, after reading the positive reviews about the film, what did I personally see here? Handsome Brad Pitt (in his 60s) with his very memorable timbre of voice and still a great smile – yes! A film about royal racing with interesting and intense races is not. Again, you can't find fault with the technical side, but the film has very big problems with the scenario. Well, you don't believe in any race in this movie, or in any conventions, of which there is a whole wagon with a cart.
A beginner who decides to join the great race will have absolutely no understanding of the rules of Formula 1 and, moreover, will have misconceptions about this sport. The film doesn't explain anything, except that Joshua's mother doesn't understand cars, but it doesn't hurt to be in the frame more than Brad Pitt himself with a naked torso. Nonsense!
On the other hand, a person who understands racing will break his forehead every time about the conventionality of this scenario and what is happening on the screen. Why couldn't we just have an exciting and intense rivalry for the drivers' Cup or the teams for the season finale? There is no such thing here! They're just trying to blow up the rest of the pylon and smash the car into their teammate with the inflated timing of the movie. Very much!
7 points, but only for technical performance and beautiful shots of the races themselves. Remove that and only Brad Pitt will be left in it.
I'd put it at 8/10.
Special respect to the operator and sound engineers — they did their best. The picture is gorgeous: The speed, the tracks, the drive — it was shot as if he was in a car. And the sound is creepy, making you feel every moment.
I would also like to mention the studio that took up the project. Honestly, I didn't expect much from them, because they usually go too far with the agenda. But it turned out to be fun, exciting and very honest. That's how you should make a real movie. If they work in this style, then a lot can be forgiven.
The picture keeps you in suspense, energizes you with emotions, and after watching it, you feel a sense of drive. Even if you are far from racing, the film makes you feel all the energy of Formula 1.👍👍👍👍
We shot the race so well that it was impossible to break away. And I was pleased that they explained a little for ordinary viewers.: what does a red flag mean, pit stop moments, showed how important neck training is, a lot of running training
I liked. Very. Two and a half hours flew by unnoticed.
And God grant everyone at 60+ years of age to be in the same shape as Pitt.
All the good things that are here are Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem. They're great, but they can't pull off a movie without an adequate plot and a watery script. The dialogues are written as if by children for children🙂↔️ It's terrifying.😒 The main plot is copied from the movie "Racer" from Stallone, 2001. But everything is great there, with a much smaller budget, Robert Sean Leonard, Thiel Schweiger, Burt Reynolds, charming actresses and impeccable, within the established format, everything in general.
In F1, actors and actresses without a drop of charisma, except Pitt and Bardem, of course. But they also seemed to have been dissected.
I got bored after an hour, turned it off after 1.5 hours, and the duration of the movie is 2.5 hours.
Very bad.
Enjoy watching it
PS: I've watched all the movies about racing, cars, and especially Formula I really like them all Such were the hopes! Ugh,
But it sags hard in the middle - the scenes in the clubs are frankly disastrous.
It seems to me that if they had replaced the love line completely with a grater between 2 men about the current state of the car, the film would only benefit from this.
The scene where the two of them drink beer in a pub is also cool.
In general, dialogues are the weakest component here. Also, some pop songs didn't come in the middle.
If you start analyzing a movie under a microscope, it will start to fall apart for obvious reasons.
This is an attraction movie that you need to watch in IMAX without second thoughts and attempts to analyze what is happening.
The visual is five, the content is 3 with a minus.
