Увидела трейлер фильма — побежала читать книгу — дочитала и побежала в кинотеатр. На сеансе в 9:10 сидели три человека. Атмосфера просто нереальная, что в книге, что в фильме отлично передана. Монолог Эми — до восторженных мурашек 😬

Like the previous commentator; I was sitting in an empty cinema after couples, at lunch, watching the plot of the film with bated breath. I adore Fincher, I adore Rosamund Pike, I adore the Disappeared One.

I love this movie

Both main characters are selected with surgical precision, it is difficult to give an example of such a successful choice of caste. Amy constantly evoked some kind of mixture of horror and disgust, even in the most normal moments of the film.

I really liked the book. The film is also on the level, but does not convey the inner essence of the characters.

I watched the movie at home in the evening, turned it on because I saw an excerpt in tik tok. I thought at first that most likely the most interesting thing was in this passage, and the film is most likely simple, but DAMN, HOW WRONG I WAS! I'M ABSOLUTELY THRILLED.
The film is both interesting and creepy at the same time, I couldn't tear myself away for a second, more than two hours passed like a couple of minutes. 10/10

Later, the insidious woman made a knight move, arranged everything as if Daisy had kidnapped and raped her, because she realized that her staging smelled fried, thought over a brilliant plan again and killed him, poor man...
Well, she returns home to her husband covered in blood in front of cameras, journalists, in short, the public. And she tells a made-up story about how it really was, there were many inconsistencies, but they believed her. The spouses have to pretend in public, supposedly they are happy with each other. Amy is keeping her husband with her child, most likely she got pregnant with Daisy...
and Nicholas had to stay, although he wanted to leave her after everything that happened.

A movie without a happy ending. Because there are no happy endings in such a situation.
Fincher is a genius.

At first, everything seems so ordinary: the wife is missing, the husband is in shock, the police are looking for her. But the further you go, the more you realize that nothing is that simple. You constantly ask yourself: who can you trust here at all? Every time you think you've guessed what's going on, the movie knocks the ground out from under your feet. And the end... well, it really leaves you in shock. This is definitely one of those films that you review and find new details. If you like thrillers with unexpected twists, it's definitely worth a look!

An interesting plot

Honestly, I'm still digesting it. The film just plays masterfully with your nerves and expectations. The plot at first seems like an ordinary detective story, and then it starts that you just have time to follow the turns. Rosamund Pike is just on top, her character is creepy and brilliant at the same time. Fincher, as always, shot everything darkly, stylishly and in a way that holds until the very end. If you like movies that turn everything upside down, this is definitely worth watching.

I read the book a year and a half before watching the movie. So the plot twists and the ending were not a revelation. Plus, I agree with one of the comments above - it's very long-winded. We picked up a little bit from each moment and a heavy mess came out.
