I'm glad that the guys work less until they turn blue, if something doesn't work out, they postpone it for later..
Horrsho shows the loss at the beginning of the path of this album, when they seemed to want so much, but did not know how to convey it. Desolation, fatigue, a path without a goal, how much they have shouldered and are proud to bear this burden. It is a pity that they are still repelled by the realization that they are really significant and special..
The film accurately conveys the doubts they went through while working on the album. They themselves needed a reference point — at least some kind. Until the very end, they were not sure of themselves, or whether they were expected, or whether they would be able to continue, whether they would be able to withstand physically and mentally.
Namjoon's words especially caught on. That 12 years of living as BTS is already a blessing, because usually a career in k-pop is so short. It was like their band had extended their lives, but with that came a lot of pressure. And that they're walking down a road that no one else has followed before, so they can only try, make mistakes, and search — and thereby redefine what it means to be BTS.
And the second thought is about the crown. Huge, beautiful, but so heavy that sometimes it is impossible to bear it. And that makes it really scary.
Listening to the album on repeat for days now, I realize more and more that they have managed to convey this state. With each new listening, with each viewing of the promo, and especially of this film, a single picture is formed — a whole stream of thoughts and feelings.
Sometimes I find myself not wanting to just include a separate title track. I want to live the whole album from beginning to end, as it was intended. Because it feels not like a set of songs, but like a single, continuous swim.
I joined the fandom on August 22, soon that Busan concert and the army, I still remember how there was some sadness, although I "knew" them a little, it was unexpected for me.
I joined the fandom just at the time of the promotion of Jimin's album — spring 2023. However, the news of Jin's departure to the army and the "breakup" of the band went far beyond the musical community. They talked about it from every iron.
3 years have passed since then. A lot has changed, but the guys' songs are still my personal beacon.
So I sincerely wish the guys a further creative breakthrough and let them take care of themselves, otherwise Jin's words "only the result is important" are painfully annoying, especially knowing that they now have a year-long tour ahead. 🙈
