Description
Driver is a skilled Hollywood stuntman who moonlights as a getaway driver for criminals. Though he projects an icy exterior, lately he's been warming up to a pretty neighbor named Irene and her young son, Benicio. When Irene's husband gets out of jail, he enlists Driver's help in a million-dollar heist. The job goes horribly wrong, and Driver must risk his life to protect Irene and Benicio from the vengeful masterminds behind the robbery.
A toothpick?
Nightcall?
Refn?
The scorpion jacket?
Died at the end of the drive?
The girl is generally some kind of idiot. Did she know when her husband would be released from prison? And if she knew, why did she powder her brains? And if you didn't know, then how can you not know such information? Or maybe she fell out of love and wasn't interested in his life? And if she fell out of love and fell in love with gg, then why didn't she leave her husband for gg????
SO MANY QUESTIONS AND NOT A SINGLE ANSWER
Gosling, of course, is handsome, but his character in this film slows down as much as possible - he is smiling at something when asked a question, he has been answering for three hundred years, and all these shots where he drives and is silent, stands and is silent, sits and is silent AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Is his face in the frame for a whole minute at the end of my GOD
In general, the film was certainly worth watching, if only for the sake of the beautiful Gosling
The best thing about it is the synth wave soundtrack.
Yes, a handsome Gosling, a beautiful picture, a couple of well-shot murders with blood, a great soundtrack, a pretty neighbor.
But the movie is empty...
At least for the sake of it, it's definitely worth a look😂😂
He reminded me of John Wick on vibe.
I will be happy to review it again (perhaps more than once).
And of course: YES, HE DID NOT DIE AT THE END OF THE DRIVE (it's obvious)
The film is worth watching for the sake of Ryan Gosling, the soundtrack and to understand the memes. Otherwise, it is quite mediocre.
