And how amazing is it that there are people like Solomon who know literally everything about reproducing bills and documents. As I understand it, he was just an ordinary man who fell into counterfeiting by a combination of life circumstances. Of course, yes, at that time banknotes were not as complicated as they are today, when there are a lot of watermarks, some other inserts and all this is problematic to reproduce, but still, having such knowledge is to some extent worthy of respect.
What a strong impression is made by the moment when the Jewish prisoners break down the wall. Because one side is prisoners and the other is too. But what a contrast. Some were exhausted to the point of horror, and the second were first confused with the Germans, because they looked too good for prisoners. And the realization that a relatively normal life was banal at one board, it seems to me, could greatly break the prisoners who were being used to wear out.
