Кейт Бланшет здорово играет. Она неоспоримое, но, на мой взгляд, единственное достоинство фильма. В начале есть несколько интересных сцен: интервью, мастер-класс, но чем дальше, тем странее. Очень долгая завязка, если для этого фильма вобще применима обычная структура.

Кейт Бланш - фантастическая, первый час фильма с ней пролетел, я и не заметила) фильм оставляет много вопросов без ответов. Мне понравился благодаря Кейт

Захваленный фильм, который я, однозначно, так бы не захваливала. Неоднородный он и специфический. Первые пол часа очень тяжело сдержаться и не выключить, идут сплошные нуднейшие разговоры узкоспециальными терминами на узкоспециальные темы, малопонятные обычному зрителю. Потом начинается действие, обрисовывается характер героини. Интересно наблюдать, как образ складывается из мелких штрихов и деталей. Но чем дальше, тем больше появляются вкрапления какого-то сюра. Концовка фильма идет, вернее несется, к завершению совсем в другой тональности, сбивая с толка. А в самом итоге ждет финальный, совершенно бредовый, эпизод.
Ну и понять цель и идею фильма не так-то легко с первого раза. И вот здесь встает вопрос, вина ли это зрителя, который дурак и не смог оценить, или автора, который не смог донести.
P.S. Но игра Кейт Бланшетт мне понравилась!

Великолепно, что нам не показывают в деталях и не размусоливают, было ли что-то между персонажами и особенно погибшей девушкой (в данном случае, есть подозрения - удаленные письма на это намекают), потому что по сути это и неважно - публика уже составила свое мнение о человеке, ее не переубедишь. Абсурдность "культуры отмены" во плоти.
Прекрасны "звуковые метафоры", в особенности когда Тар слышит женские крики о помощи, бежит (хочет помочь?), но не может найти источник. Подсознание напоминает о Кристе. Стучащий метроном, порванные нервы - к концу делают обстановку все напряженней и напряженней.
Фильм отлично раскрывается под конец, пусть на начале и трудно сосредоточиться и уловить, от кого пришла книга. Этот фильм нужно смотреть, готовясь читать между строк. Как говорится, музыка передаст то, что невозможно передать словами.
Кейт создала завораживающего персонажа и восхитительно передала все оттенки ее характера.

Только Кейт, и только ради нее.
Людям, далеким от музыки, все это белый шум. Нас не погружают в «волшебный мир» оркестров. Никогда не думала, что скажу это, но смотреть на проблемы белых, успешных женщин было тошно.
Это не «Одержимость», и даже не близко, нет и нет.

Посмотрите «Кэрол» с той же Бланшет, и будьте спокойны. Там хотя бы есть Руни Мара.

Искренне сочувствую всем, кто смотрел дома, в кинотеатре время летит незаметно, от того фильм не кажется ни затянутым, ни необоснованно "тихим".

Это байопик, и он имеет право быть обыденным. В жизни женщины не было так много интересных моментов, но она точно была необычной. Видимо, понравится лесбиянкам и дирижерам.
В общем случае, смотреть натужно

Mixed feelings were caused by the movie. I started watching in dubbing and it didn't go, but the original with subtitles is another matter. Somewhere it seemed that the narration was delayed (the first half hour, probably), at the end, on the contrary, everything accelerated. But maybe this is the redisser's idea? Here, Lydia's life goes on as usual - interviews, rehearsals, a house, but at some point everything starts to collapse like a house of cards. The only thing, it seemed that the development of depression was somehow smeared. It seemed that Lydia was doing well and now she was beating up a colleague. And bam - she's doing something extremely strange somewhere in Asia. It's like an actor from the best theater in the country to become an animator. It is the development of events after the crisis that is a little lacking, and not the measured narrative before. However, Cate Blanchett is gorgeous in this role, the other actors are too, I'm glad I looked. Cinema is definitely not like most superficial and predictable films.

An amazing movie. For the first forty minutes I thought: What the hell am I watching?" I watched the next half hour with the thought "Interesting". And, as soon as the film ended, I was absolutely delighted. The main character is, in fact, a man in female form. A narcissistic genius who at some point decided that he could do anything, and experienced a terrible fall. But even it didn't break him. Kate is a wonderful hawk, she plays, as always, great. To the question: is she a victim or an aggressor, a vulnerable creative person or a tyrant, is she to blame for what she was accused of, or are other people around her guilty, we have no clear answer. The film leaves ambiguous impressions and a sea of unspoken words, the form for which it is impossible to find. And this is a great find, it allowed the viewer to decide for themselves what is what and who is who in this story. Great.

It's been a long time since I've had such a complex and multi-layered movie on my screen! A lot of topics are twisted into one spiral: from "can genius be evil or kind, or does genius exist outside of these frameworks" to the slippery line between flirting and obsessive abuse. And that's just what's on the surface (fervent greetings to the cancellation culture!). And how many more nuances are hidden in each frame. Up to homages to Tarkovsky. Like "Mulholland Drive", this picture may not open immediately from the first viewing, many moments will turn out to be misunderstood or completely unnoticed. Blanchett gave her best, this is probably her best benefit, with all due respect to all the other actors. The director does not even hide the fact that the whole film admires her. Verified picture, music, plastic(!) everything is served so aesthetically beautiful that even almost three hours is not a pity. That, my friends, is the movie.
