Overview
Léon, the top hit man in New York, has earned a rep as an effective "cleaner". But when his next-door neighbors are wiped out by a loose-cannon DEA agent, he becomes the unwilling custodian of 12-year-old Mathilda. Before long, Mathilda's thoughts turn to revenge, and she considers following in Léon's footsteps.

Luc Besson has made a truly amazing film.
Excellent cast and excellent soundtrack
- Is life always this shit, or is it only when you're little?
- Always...
I love it!
classics of the genre for the ages
- You need to grow up.
I've already grown up, now I'm just getting old.
in some moments I felt disgust, in some I felt universal sadness
but the picture and the story are masterpieces) it's not for nothing that the footage from the film periodically crawls on the Internet. Definitely worth watching, and not even one
Well, Harry Oldman was already surprising with his performance back then, playing the role of a real crazy scumbag.
This movie can evoke different emotions, but it cannot be denied that it has become a true classic of crime dramas and a gem in the careers of all involved.
Director Luc Besson has created a unique world where deep humanity and magnificent action mix. Jean Renaud as Leon and Natalie Portman as Matilda are great, their interaction leaves an unforgettable impression. The film explores the themes of love, loneliness, and sacrifice presented through the complex relationships of the main characters.
My rating is 5 out of 5: Leon is a masterpiece that combines the skill of directing, excellent acting performances and a deep plot twist. This film remains one of my most beloved and instructive cinematic experiences.
Yes, I feel sorry for the heroes, I'm not exactly callous, but the faculty of Philosophy and Sophistry is not my thing.
The movie was tied up with bullshit, the bad guys did it based on bullshit, and one of them was completely finished - I understood why you were praising the actor, but you wanted to piss on his character and put him on a pike. Shtosh, our friend fulfilled the second one.
A depressing sketch.. Uh, for the older ones?
PS. No matter what anyone says about the fact that this film is overrated. No, it's not overrated. He's really a masterpiece. And it seems to me that he does not show fictional feelings with fake emotions, but really real experiences and joys (which is only worth Portman's laughter in a restaurant and her tears when she ran past police cars and her feelings at the end when she planted a flower), and the value of this very life and what every person needs to possess - humanity and love for one's neighbor. Take care of your daughters. This is the most valuable thing you have.
At the very beginning of the film, Leon, after doing the "work", goes to the cinema, where he simply enjoys the movie that is being shown there. And they're showing a romantic movie about love. It turns out that the mega-cool contract killer is a romantic! And, despite his negative experience in this business, he retained faith in love. Though deep, deep inside. And it so happened that this feeling, buried deep, suddenly breaks out. What is the result? You'll see for yourself)
Well, and a screenshot called "The end of the story, if not..."
