By the way, the film did not save the idea of the 1995 anime, I do not know what was in the manga, but if we compare it with the animated version, then from a dark story with philosophical thoughts, we went into teenage Young adult fiction with a revolt against society, the main character gives out an idea from the first minute, from which you will tend to skip on minute 30. That's real, they just shove obvious thoughts in their face, and it seems that they consider the audience not very smart.
I skipped the movie three times, watched it at a speed of 1.5x and still got tired. I didn't like the design of the future, it was more stylish in manga and anime, but here everything is clumsy and impractical. The puppeteer was made pathetic, in the anime he was creepy, only because of his cold mind and tactical mindset, and then again, the rebellion of a teenager who loves Motoko and is offended at the same time and all these snot are trying to combine with a cult story (spoiler, they failed): horror, and here even technically, there are no advantages, the action is secondary, the reshot scenes are exactly like in the 1995 version, obviously weaker than the orig. There will be no advantages, the current is my grumbling.
A classic one-time action movie with attempts at depth and a pleasant picture. Unfortunately, there is nothing remarkable about it anymore.
P. S Takeshi Kitano was called for fun, what?
