I liked it more than the first part, but the line with Maverick's new girlfriend was absolutely unnecessary, an artificial timekeeping stretch.

I liked this part more!

by the way, Penny Benjamin (Jennifer Connelly) was mentioned casually twice in the first part)
(I found out about it from YouTube myself, but it doesn't matter😁)
I wonder what happened to the girl from the first movie. They didn't even mention her.

Cool. In the best traditions of the first part and with the addition of modern camera chips. It is simple, concise, dynamic (in general, both films are about dynamics and style :) I always like maximalistic realism when making films. It is difficult to deceive the viewer. Here it is: all the scenes of flight, overloads and other aviator art (yes, even a walk on a yacht) are made live and it feels amazing. As a motivational/propaganda film, he and his predecessor are incomparable. But, even if you don't want to become a pilot, it is quite possible to spend a good evening in the company of top gun dilogy.

A really good, spectacular patriotic movie. However, so is the first film. I liked it, because the spirit of the first part was preserved more than completely. The only thing that really hurts the eye is the blatant violations of the charter and flight safety. Not in a combat situation in which I absolutely agree with the thesis "don't think, do", but in work situations. A test aircraft worth billions of dollars has been destroyed - it makes absolutely no sense. Next, some kind of flight tricks during training - look what I can do... 🤦♂️ this is not enough, but they go through the whole film adding unreality to what is happening. By the way, who knows the 5th generation of the enemy's F-35 flew?

It was shot very beautifully, but the film lacks drama. They just flew in and took everyone out.
