Yes, it turns out that Japanese cinema is capable of something other than anime. With its modest budget, this work looks beyond praise: here you have action, and quite interesting special effects, large-scale scenes with pretty good graphics.A good plot with a rather non-trivial plot: a failed kamikaze must overcome his sting and do what is required of him. I was disappointed by the large number of pianos in the bushes, when actions that require several hours or even days take place in a second, or an invisible fleet in a clear sea, but let's write it off for the sake of cinematography. The final is also like that, but for the efforts of 6 out of 10.

In my opinion, post-war Japan is shown very well, but I am not an expert in this, maybe others will find a lot of flaws there. Yes, even for sure! Godzilla is drawn classically and looks intimidating, although what she needs is generally unclear. They came up with a sensible plan for destruction and implemented it very realistically. But the drama was overdone, for my taste. There are too many strange tosses, incomprehensible accusations and moral torments, although we ended up almost on the positive side. The destruction of the city and the battle with the ships are beautifully shot, so there are no questions about the action at all. At least for me. And in general, the film turned out to be dynamic and interesting, despite the two hours of screen time. If you like movies about fighting giant monsters, then I recommend watching it! In any case, it's better not only the latest state craft, but also the upcoming one!
