Hiddleston's charm is hard to resist, even when he plays villains. Well, in general, it turned out to be quite a beautiful and stylish film, shot in colorful scenery and filled with vivid images.

From this crazy beautiful movie, you can safely throw out all the ghosts and expand the final fight to make it even more beautiful.

The director created an amazingly beautiful picture, especially I liked the scenes in red and black. Bright images and the actors' acting complemented the plot, well, the graphics are excellent, as without it. I would also succumb to Hiddleston's influence, he is beautiful even in the image of a villain 🔥

The film is beautiful and atmospheric, but still the plot is lame.
Why did their mother beat them, why did her father beat her, why do these children need this mansion, who is their father at all, and how is the heroine's mother connected with all this? It seems like they explained everything on the run, but it faded, if at least fragments of their past had been shown, it would have been clearer, but since the connection between these events is not particularly visible. And so, if you just connect all these storylines yourself, then the plot will still be raw.
In the beginning, I thought it was like the movie The Woman in Black, but somehow it's not that. Ghosts generally play a secondary role here, and the plot would have gone without them. There was almost no butler on the screen, there could have been more.
But the film itself is beautifully shot, and the actors are famous, you can watch it purely because of the visual, I like such films with a Gothic style.
