It seems to me that in this film one of the most realistic depictions of medieval wars is a bunch of people fighting fiercely in the mud.

Cool dirty, awkward fights. There is nothing beautiful about them, just like in real life. But it was a very long time, 2 and a half hours was very hard to watch.
