A classic that cannot be passed by! A brilliant film. I highly recommend watching it, you will not regret a single minute spent.

I really want to analyze this masterpiece as a psychological portrait. Sort through each frame and look for hidden meaning, build theories and ask new questions. Very much this topic develops new and new questions. And this concept is the film itself - we are given information that should be answered. But it's hard for us, we see what they want to show us, and at the same time we draw conclusions. From about this moment, the film begins, where the main character wanders through endless corridors and streets. The thin line of the entire Korean film history is revenge, and here it all boils down to very harsh consequences of long-standing actions. We are what we eat. I have never seen such an elaborate film about the thirst for payback. The concept is truly unique and even then it was worth putting the film on all possible awards. If you are fans of thinking about puzzles, then you will not find a more perfect movie.

It used to seem like some kind of regular action movie. But in fact, it is very catchy what an unusual story the lives of the characters, understandable to everyone, have wrapped up in. I couldn't watch it 10 years ago, when the movie with Brolin was released. I started, but it seemed like such a mess, although I had already entered Korean cinema, and one of the tapes was - I saw the devil - with the same actor GG from Oldboy. Well, today I realized that I need to watch the classics. There is a lot of atypical in the work, unlike Hollywood cinema. It is not possible to set up some kind of unambiguous emotional response during viewing. In the film, they do not give the opportunity to divide into black and white, to find unambiguous villains and good-natured people. Everything is kind of domestic, troubles do not escalate, conflicts have a philosophical meaning, although, with general simplification, this is a story about the embodiment of the Talion principle. For all its cruelty, there are more reflections after the film than shocks.

I liked the movie, but the fact that he slept with his daughter is terrible, and after learning this, he did not stop sleeping with her and loving her like a woman, even though she is his daughter.. that's really trash was full, and the actor is gorgeous, I watched a lot of projects with him and the game is fascinating. You need to watch the film carefully enough, otherwise you will miss half of the plot. I made this mistake, so I had to read a couple of reviews to recover all the missed moments. But I liked the film in general. Korean cinema is something new to me, I haven't watched it much, but every time it caught on, because it doesn't look like standard popular movies. And how people are willing to do anything to avenge some very long-standing grudge. It is clear that a person's sister died here because of all this, but still you can't solve anything with revenge, which is what the death of this character says, the more you dig into it all, the harder it is to find the meaning of existence after that. But the revenge turned out to be beautiful, let's be honest, forcing the main character to sleep with his daughter is strong. I will definitely watch the other two films that are included in this trilogy dedicated to revenge, the director hooked.

What kind of nonsense is this?!!! Most of all, I was shocked by this movie - its high ratings and a lot of rave reviews.)) Let's forget the general unreality, the insult sucked out of the finger-the tragedy of the villain, clumsy and toy battle scenes and the alleged omnipotence of hypnosis. But why did the main character behave like a complete idiot and unstable psycho, and even at the very beginning of the film? All his actions and emotions are some kind of unbearable game. In general, I was left in great perplexity by the popularity of the movie.
P.S. Why do classmates look (and are) people with a difference of almost 20 years?)))

Utter devastation is what I felt after watching it. An incredibly strong, psychologically difficult and violent plot that takes the viewer out of his comfort zone. There are no smoothed corners, the mood of the film is gloomy and tense. Shooting, palette, driving pace, strong drama, actors, musical accompaniment - everything provides a powerful shock. Pure delight!

Incest is a family matter. And as if this film promotes the idea that if you love a relative, love her to the last. The game is full. If you take incest out of the movie, it would be great, but there would be no such revenge. With incest, we get a great idea of revenge, but the ending sucks. The correct conclusion for Odessa would be to erase the memory of both and live separately. But is it really okay for everyone who admires the movie incest?
