The Others

I was prompted to watch this film not by a sufficiently high critical assessment of the film, but by a completely different film — "Shelter" (2007). Initially, I wanted to watch it, but one of the reviews that I read said that "Shelter" is a ridiculous parody of the film "Others". Naturally, for a more objective assessment, I decided to look at the "Others" first.

Did the film meet my expectations? Absolutely, yes. Despite the fact that I am a fairly sophisticated viewer in thrillers, the film impressed me very much.

Firstly, I would like to immediately note the beautifully thought-out atmosphere of the film.

Secondly, the wonderful acting of the actors, namely Nicole Kidman and Fionnula Flanagan. For all my coldness towards Kidman's talent, her acting is brilliant.

Thirdly, this is definitely the ending. To say that the ending is unexpected is to say nothing. Telling the ending to a person who hasn't seen this movie yet is generally a crime.

Fourthly, and this is the most important thing, the film "Others" really makes you think and offers your vision of a very interesting question.

Fifth, for some reason, I constantly want to rewind and watch individual moments again. Not because there is something special in these moments, but just such a desire appears.

Sixth, the film manages to keep the viewer in suspense without using stamped "scares". And the "Book of the Dead" is generally on top.

As a result, I can calmly give the film 10 out of 10, and even use the word "Masterpiece" to it.

Я хотела было уже уйти к себе в комнату (несмотря на малый возраст, всё равно понимала, что фильм для взрослых), а мама меня остановила со словами: " хочешь посмотреть хорошее кино, останься и смотри". Я заинтригованная и осталась. До сих пор не жалею 👍

A really creepy movie that I'll probably remember for a few more years, because it's really creepy! Good acting by almost all the actors, good presentation from the director regarding the atmosphere and scary moments. The film left its mark on my memory and even today, at such an advanced age, I am too lazy to turn on this film in order to find myself again mentally in that time interval when I first watched this film. IMHO. :D

I just watched it recently, and I'm just thrilled. I've watched a lot of thrillers from different decades, old and new, in my luggage, but this particular film was very pleasantly surprised and made me admire it. There's not even anything to complain about, if you like a great atmosphere and a super unexpected ending, then the film is a must-watch. 🖤

Just a masterpiece, one of the most beloved films

An incredible movie!

I watched it for the first time as a child, by chance, when my father put on a cassette, and even then this film made a strong impression on me, but if it was not difficult to surprise me as a child, now, of course, it requires a lot more effort.

the film fully justified its terrible memories of him, even surpassed them: plot twists, beautiful shots, atmosphere, acting — everything is on top.

I am very glad that after so many years I remembered this diamond, one of the best thrillers. I recommend it!

A movie for all time

I'm watching it for the second time and most importantly, I've already forgotten the plot, but I still kept it in suspense!! I advise you to watch it, you will be surprised by the ending.

An incredible movie, you always watch it like the first time, you want to go back to watching it again and again.

I watched it as a teenager. Leaves an imprint) awesome movie, which are few. I still remember how my brother, and in daylight, fell out of his chair, at the moment where the grandmother appeared in the closet😆

A great movie, an unexpected ending. The mysterious atmosphere throughout the entire timekeeping is mesmerizing.
