Uncut Gems (2019)

Another very, very good crime drama from the Safdie brothers. It's nice to know that Sandler can still produce a great game with serious material. In spirit, Uncut diamonds reminded the trilogy of Nicholas Winding Refn's Pusher, only instead of a drug dealer trying to survive (and make the most of a difficult situation), the owner of a jewelry salon who makes ends meet, adjusts schemes and deals with debts, sometimes deftly (sometimes not very well) creates schemes for the sale of rare opal. If you have seen "Good Time", the Safdie brothers' past work, then you will have about the same journey on the other side of the law, but now it does not smack of art house, although while maintaining a viscous atmosphere. If you haven't seen it, catch up (you'll look at Pattinson from a completely different angle), and then proceed to this thriller - numerous awards are well deserved. Sometimes Netflix can, as they say.

An annoying, flickering movie, and the same annoying, constantly flickering hero. There are screams, twitching and scary faces on the screen all the time. Which genre is also difficult to understand. This whole movie makes the finale, although it usually happens the other way around, but it does not negate the previous two hours of flickering tedium.

"Love knocking down", "Uncut Diamonds ". So you can wean yourself from Adam Sandler in shorts. How good he is in serious roles.

4 stars for the game of Sendler, the film itself is from the category of "when will you be over"

The brothers were very much inspired by the "Murder of the Chinese Bookmaker" John Cassavetes. The films are very similar. But in this regard, Safdie knows the measure and the movie turned out to be quite original.

Almost 3 hours spent in vain, the film did not live up to expectations.
Well, the final for the main character is just a script cliche️ ️ ️

Constant noise from shouting/talking... Aah, good movie.

It's a real thing.... The most annoying music in the background, the eternal screams... Sandler played well and the Opal itself was beautiful, but I rate the film 6 out of 10.

As chaotic and noisy as possible. It was like watching a movie with Adam Sendler. So stop.
Yes, here he showed that he can play serious roles, but this role is almost the same, only at the other extreme.
The plot is predictable, you just had to guess who would be the victim.
I was more worried about the characters in "Buy Me" than I was about the characters in this movie.
You can spend 1 time on this movie to understand that Sendler may not be making faces, but more is not given. Unfortunately

It's just a terrible loud background sound at the beginning of the movie, the dude has a clear problem with the sound director.

The ending saved the movie. But he clearly doesn't deserve more than two hours of chrono.

This movie starts with a diamond turning into a colonoscopy. I'm surprised that Marty Supreme is doing something at the same level of legend.
