I remember when I went to the cinema to see this movie, I was left under a terrible impression, came home after a night session, couldn't sleep, kept looking at the time, and, if you remember, in the film all the mysticism began to happen at 3:07 minutes, and as soon as the clock struck that time, someone screamed in the yard alarm system - as a result, memories for a lifetime))

Van's film is filled with both tangible suspense and the atmosphere of those classic ghost stories, tales that young people once poisoned around a campfire surrounded by night darkness. In this part, the film is the most original and peculiar. That is, yes, houses with a bad reputation, the introduction of demons into objects and people, poltergeists and ghosts will not surprise anyone much now, and in this regard, Van's film will not be particularly remembered for anything, except for a couple of those same "boo!". But the construction of individual scenes really breathes freshness and leaves an indelible impression. Here, even a seasoned horror fan will find several finds at once, like a game of blind man's buff with claps, which he has not met before. And there are more such finds in "The Spell " than in the other two "ghostly" films of the director, "Dead Silence" and "Astral ", combined.

The only thing I would like to wish the most talented horror director of the 21st century: Don't stop, Comrade Wang.

I liked the movie. There were creepy moments, the atmosphere itself is so warm, and then it changes dramatically creepy. In the beginning I thought that the story would be dedicated to the doll, but it is not, and a terrible story was hiding in the house. The moment with blind man's buff and claps was really frightening:0
