Casablanca (1943)

But I didn't quite understand the excitement about this movie. The love line is actually terrible: a beautiful girl who falls in love with very wealthy men, and two noble gentlemen. There are no complaints about the heroine's husband, but the lover raises questions: noble deeds are rarely done, and even then from the sentimental trends of the moment (i.e., a couple of people were lucky to get into a good mood), his falling in love with the main character is generally a failure. He doesn't know her, he doesn't know anything about her, all love is in a cute face and giggling on a boat. It's not love. He treats others, including women, to put it mildly, rudely.
And so the main character chooses this lover, not her husband (who has gone through a thousand circles of hell, risked himself for her as well).

One of my favorites.
And yet, I love it when he is mentioned, or rather quoted in other films or TV series, for example in "Black Cat, White Cat" by Kusturica and many more places!

All I like about this movie is Rick and Reno's bickering. I'm reviewing it for them. But the love line did not catch on

The film is a masterpiece for Bravo actors.

I didn't like the movie, I was overrated

"Was it a cannon that fired? Or is it my heart that's pounding?"
You can love old movies at least for such beautiful dialogues.

It's beautifully shot, but the love line and motivation of the main characters are not well thought out, in my opinion. Their actions and desires seem unreasonable. But at the same time, the film is interesting in terms of historical events.
