After the release of his masterpieces, the audience screamed with delight, and the film industry had to hastily change shoes in the air.
Alien, Terminator 2, Abyss, Titanic... Oh, what's there to list! Everyone knows everything anyway.
But the plot of the merger is quite primitive, even for 2009. Such a sequence of events is typical for a lot of expensive films and a person who has watched hundreds of films will pay attention. You can watch, for example, the 1999 cartoon Tarzan and see how many similarities there are in the plot plots of these two works. Only Tarzan is still a children's cartoon, and the Avatar seems to be presented on serious topics.
Spoiler: if you think about it, the hero forgot to ask something 😅
I'm going to watch the second part well, it's very interesting what will happen there.....
I was waiting for the second movie.
I'm already tired of waiting!
I
've been waiting for 12 years! In Azkaban!
When Avatar 2 waited) it's been 13 years, though)
I'm going to watch the second part today))
I can see you.
To say that I am impressed is to say nothing. I sat and wondered why I remembered so little and never aspired to see it.
The graphics at the time of 2009 are something incredible and alien.
I am glad that the plot has not been lost behind all the graphics. Even if there are no super unexpected moves, denouements, but at least the main thread of the narrative was given time.
And now I can confirm that the film is a legend!
The avatar still looks great, especially when viewed in 3D. It seems to me that it was made just to show all the delights of 3D graphics, then it was insanely gaining popularity.
Some films cease to be relevant several years after their release. "Avatar" remains relevant even now, after so many years!
Most likely, most people won't care about these quibbles, but I sympathize with people who have a brain...it is really disappointing when a beautiful whole image is created (and it was Cameron who created it as a visionary) and after 2/3 of the film it is simply destroyed by biological hierarchical routine...It's like sitting down and taking a shit in the middle of the Louvre. All spirituality and sublimity, the whole idea of ecology and how to protect nature simply evaporates in a moment.
This is my personal opinion ONLY regarding the scenario part.
