The film is about freedom - both physical and psychological. Jack Nicholson is a great actor, his performance is fascinating.

@rsv-rsv: Unfortunately " young morons" (this does not apply to age, this is a state of understanding and perception), it is impossible to explain that friendship is sacred. If a person was brought up from childhood in the paradigm - "betray, sell, if only you would eat more savory and shit more steeply", then he will not understand the actions of GG.

Native American folk get oppressed by europe colonialists . In the end Lacota guy just breaks free from the hospital to live again in forest ( Canadian if that matters) .

That was heartbreaking , quite emotional must confess . Love it

This film is about how one guy, with his recklessness and sincerity, breaks into the lives of psychiatric hospital patients and gives them friendship and a sense of freedom. He is not a hero in the classical sense — he just laughs, rebels and shows others that they also have the right to be happy.

It was beautifully played ...the actors got so into it and got used to their characters...

Of the minor characters, I liked Mr. Martini the most)

One of my favorite movies! An amazing piece of work! All the actors performed their roles superbly, And after you watch this cartoon, be sure to read Ken Kesey's novel "Over the Cuckoo's Nest" - this will only enhance your impression of the film.
