Former assassin Hutch Mansell takes his family on a nostalgic vacation to a small-town theme park, only to be pulled back into violence when they clash with a corrupt operator, a crooked sheriff, and a ruthless crime boss.
@Anvarezka: I'm not talking to you personally, but to all the posters. If you don't want to see the downsides, don't post the posters. A maximum of one or two, and even two is already a lot. I will put downsides for them, but there is a nuance. if you also write your opinion about the film to the posters, this is a plus for you, and I will evaluate the opinion differently. Well, if you do, you will get a response, then I, unfortunately, will not see your posters and, unfortunately, will not read your opinion about the film. It's up to you to choose
although it turned out to be a little crumpled, but the movie is still fun. the bruising, bloodshed and all kinds of mess are still available and the film perfectly entertains it. and there was a place for comedic moments. it's impossible to get bored here, something is constantly happening.
as a result, a high-quality driving action movie was released. unlike the first part, everything has become brighter, Hatch has been revealed more deeply, and the supporting characters are good here. But Odenkirk, of course -🔥
@zhosman-kinoman: I think a trilogy would be enough for this franchise. try to finalize the character's story, and the rest in general. and then it doesn't matter what, how, or how much🙂
The second film about the Mansels was no longer directed by Ilya Naishuller, but by someone Timo Tiajanto, originally an Indonesian director and screenwriter, from whom I saw only the film "Step out of the Shadows" and several episodes in the franchise "Z / L / O" and I want to say that in terms of action, the film is very good. However, it is already secondary in essence and Timo has not brought anything new here. There is no conflict as such. And the final mochilovo in the Amusement Park looks very mediocre and resembles not "John Wick", but "Home Alone", which is good for a comedy, but bad for an action movie, too childish. I also got the impression that the four screenwriters, including Bob Odenkirk himself, simply pulled out moments from their favorite movies and molded them into one, without really thinking about the harmony of the plot - the main thing is action. Sharon Stone looks like hell, of course, and I didn't even recognize her in that outfit right away. You can watch it, because it's a pretty powerful action game with elements of black humor, but very secondary, for my taste. I liked the first movie a lot more, yes
The movie became more fun. More action. BUT. The plot has become simpler. Just like the villainess. Julian could even be sympathized with to some extent, since he was a living character. His decisions were conditioned by something. Hitch became immortal, just like John Wick. If John needs a bulletproof suit, then a Hawaiian suit is enough for Hitch. A hero is always good for the quality of his villain. The corrupt cop was more interesting than Sharon Stone. You can find such a cop with watchman's syndrome in your neighborhood, and it scares you more than a hyperbolic, crazy maniac. However, I had a good time watching it (the benefit is only 90 minutes), but I won't review it anymore. But I often review the first part. 6 out of 10
Some kind of mix of a fierce Hollywood action movie and the movie "Home Alone" I can't say that I really liked the movie, but it didn't cause any negativity either. I passed a crowd of trained soldiers, but one super woman turned out to be too much for my teeth - well, a completely moronic contrast. Of course, there's no point in talking about realism in this movie, but the final scene could have been more twisted. For me, there is no humor here at all, if the characters tried to joke, it was not funny. And so, plus for the action and drive, I'll give 5/6 points to the film.
They fucked up the ending, of course. Everything in the attraction looks like "Home Alone," but that didn't seem enough, and it took an idiotic scene of a man being beaten by two ridiculous girls, purely to work out a femme fatale about a strong independent wife who "can also."
It is unlikely that Naishuller would have made a second film in this vein. But it looks good, easy and fun). It is also unlikely that I will watch again, but the first viewing left a lot of positive emotions))).
Well, the first movie was... the point at which it was necessary to stop. No, seriously. Baba Yaga Week is enough for us to do cool things on the verge of idiocy. I don't think this world can stand a second franchise like this. Well, yes, it feels like this line crosses common sense and tends to self-parody somewhere, but... where it looked quite organic in the first part, in the second, when all the maps are already open (we know perfectly well what kind of person he is and what he is capable of), it looks like carefully tamping into the owl not just a globe, but a model of the entire solar system up to the Kuiper belt. Like, well, the guy wanted to rest, but you stopped him. You shouldn't have done that. Damn, 100,500 stories start exactly the same way. And the scenes in the tattoo parlor with the doors closing for seven seconds and "No fee, I'm leaving, good luck" — there's nothing to counter here at all.
The first part was, in fact, Naishuller's creation. He invited his friends there, and his wife, and he flashed, and he did not forget about his corporate identity. In the end, it turned out to be a great movie, thanks to this atmosphere. The second one... an attempt to retake the original film by a completely different person. Spoiler alert: secondary mediocrity has emerged. On the one hand, there is an absolutely repetitive plot (up to the battle of "home alone"), on the other, delusional innovations for the sake of time (such as the beating of a masculine hero by two lesbians, the rescue of his housekeeper wife, and the main villain here for the sake of time). On the third, there are a lot of cliches (like a senseless sword fight, the victory of an unarmed teenager over an action movie, the "farewell" monologue of the villain's leaders and the final explosion), on the fourth - new scenery, on the fifth - the complete absence of something of their own, on the sixth - an even more stupid, cliched motivation for conflict (he liked this son of the head of the "cartel", it would be better to think about his family). As a result, the usual non-comedic action movie was released, which you will forget within a minute after watching, since you have already seen this dozens (if not hundreds) of times. Basically, if you completely replace all the characters, absolutely nothing will change. So this is not the second part, but rather an ordinary plagiarism. In general, you can watch it as an ordinary entertaining action movie, but nothing more. And you certainly don't need to compare "this" with the first part.
it was shot perfectly (to be honest, I can't imagine HOW you can shoot shit in our time) when you watch, well, like the first one, you inevitably have a Pec in your head , in general, the film brought me))
Well, that. The first part was much better, in my opinion 🤷🏻 1 - for the action 1 - for Bob Odenkirk (who is already 62 years old for a minute, be careful with him, don't break him in the fight scenes) 0.5 Because of Christopher Lloyd, it's a pity they didn't show enough
What nonsense, it's much inferior to the first part. Does it depend on the fact that Naishuller was not the director? Hardly, because the first film itself is a finished product. And then some woman in a casino kills hundreds of people and supposedly nobody cares.
Simpler than the first part. In principle, it is generally optional to view. But for the evening, relaxing drinks are normal. I definitely won't watch it a second time. Saul Goodman is dragging.
Hutch Mansell, an exemplary family man and former CIA operative, is trying to pay off a multimillion-dollar debt to respected people whom he upset by burning down a dormitory. No one cares that the general public overlooked the irresponsible Russian mafia. Mr. Nobody's canteen is gradually starting to whistle from his daily bloody tasks, and there's a rift coming in the family. What can help? A short vacation at an amusement park, where your father took you and your brother as a child. Naturally, Hutch won't be allowed to be nostalgic to the fullest just like that. Due to a series of accidents, no one gets involved in small-town corruption schemes, which neither the corrupt zealous police officers, nor the owner of the park, nor much more influential people are happy about.
Comedian Bob Odenkirk, who impressed his fans for the second time in his career four years ago (first, he proved through the TV series "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" that he is a great dramatic actor), with physical strength and martial arts skills that would not put John Wick himself to shame, returns to his most unexpected role.. I must say right away that Odenkirk is still good and convincing both in the role of a layman and a mercenary capable of defeating an army. I don't know if he trained for two more years in a row this time, but for 62-year-olds, he's just a hammer. And, yes, "Nobody 2" is still a kind of light and uncomplicated version of "John Wick", the comedic nature of which is not hidden by its authors. Fortunately, the same people are involved in both franchises: screenwriter Derek Kolstad and producer David Leitch returned to the sequel (in addition to "Wick", he directed "Deadpool", "Stuntmen", "Faster than a Bullet" - well, in general, a big special).
Ilya Naishuller left the director's chair, who had a conflict of schedules, and he left to shoot "Heads of State" for Amazon, also a comedy thriller, but with Sina and Elba. By the way, apparently, this departure didn't do anyone any good, if you look at the ratings of both films. Instead of Naishuller, Indonesian Timo Tiajanto, a well-known fan of horror and action films, came. Overall, the replacement on paper is more than adequate. Tiagianto is a long-time friend of Gareth Evans, the director of the "Raid" dilogy, and together with him he even shot an excellent novel for the horror film V/H/S 2, where he combined the apocalypse and action. After that, inspired by a friend, he produced good action films "Raid: Bullet in the Head" (well, the localizers decided to stick around) and "The Night is coming for us", enticing even some of the actors from the "Raid" along the way. Well, in the wake of the Indonesian success, the man began to work little by little with Hollywood. He has already been appointed director of the American remake of "Train to Busan" and the sequel to "The Beekeeper." But "Nobody 2" is his first full-length work in the United States. By the way, the sequel was originally supposed to take place in Venice, but Odenkirk said that this contradicts the image of the average American who cannot afford to travel not only to Europe, but even to Hawaii or Disneyland, so he suggested a replacement in the form of a Deshmansky water park / fair, where he himself went as a child. Well, apparently, they left the idea for a triquel, with a lottery win - if you follow in the vacation footsteps of the Griswold family, then to the end!
Unfortunately, the second "Nobody" is still inferior to its predecessor in many ways. Although I tried to figure out how to get a higher rating until the last moment. Tiagianto was either overly nervous, or he was not allowed to work with his team, or he himself did not have chemistry with the "Nobody"/"Week" stunt team, but in terms of staging, everything turned out to be much more standard and bland than the hooligan Naishuller last time. The action, of course, is not bad, and it was obviously not approached carelessly (take at least the scene when the kid watches from a minivan as No One shoots people with a shotgun), but some original camera techniques like a long fight without glues (if memory serves me correctly), as it was in the original - Don't wait. Subtlety has gone with Naishuller. "Nobody 2" has become a more explicit comedy. The careful winks from the scriptwriters, saying that we're not really doing everything seriously here, were replaced by shameless elbow jabs in the side. Well, the movie became cartoonishly bloody. Arms and legs fly into the camera. Especially towards the end. Personally, I missed this neat walk along the line between a serious action movie about a tired man in a difficult situation (you know, in the spirit of "I've had enough") and banter (we know that you know that we are the authors of "John Wick" and that it doesn't happen that way).
Well, this claim is exactly for the scenario: yes, the situation has changed, but the formula has remained unchanged. Not in the sense that Bob Odenkirk continues to beat everyone up (hardly anyone will mind), but in the fact that the third act of the original was about the defense of the factory in the style of "Home Alone", now in the finale there is a defense of the amusement park according to the same patterns. Again, everything is done there competently, and John Kramer death traps bring variety, but the feeling of secondhandness does not leave. Not only does the film quote itself in the main, but it's as if in "Welcome to Zombieland" it was done with great fervor. Although I particularly liked the water slide descent scene: it was well shot and the trap was funny.
In general, you won't get any surprises from the film globally. Yes, it was nice to see Sharon Stone in a relatively large project, but her image, in my opinion, was not particularly successful. In this regard, the moron sheriff (Colin Hanks, apparently, played the grown-up son of Forrest Gump. He even has his hair as blunt as possible) and the head of the park (John Ortiz from Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, Fast & Furious, and The Cloverfield Paradox), mirroring Hutch's fate and problems, were more interesting as antagonists. Although both are not enough. I especially wanted to see more of Hanks, because he did a really good job of scum. Again, the only move I liked was the twist with Ortiz's character, and this twist, by the way, was also suggested by Odenkirk himself. "What the hell was Derek Kolstad doing?!" I want to ask. And the ending (however, the opening scene too), repeating the first part, does not paint. Yes, they added something for a change, but the concept that No One has a super-duper subscription has not changed globally. If he has such a roof, why does he still have thirty million dollars left to pay? Is the state unable to resolve this issue?
But despite the claims, "Nobody 2" remains quite a pleasant and easy action movie. Perhaps in some places the authors are overreacting with stupidity, and they, of course, slightly dropped the plan and lost the style of the original. However, Bob Odenkirk still drags, the action doesn't bother, the scenes with him are evenly spaced, and you don't get bored, plus there are some really memorable scenes. For example, including quiet ones, when Hutch is relatively calm, but with an expression on her face "when will this end?", leaves the place where the injustice is happening, and after a few seconds still returns to prescribe a cradle for the bad guys.
The sequel raised less money than the original, it turned out to be weaker, but I want to believe that the third part will still happen, while Odenkirk has the strength to embody the image of Mr. Nobody.
P.S. In the world of "John Wick" and "Nobody," I especially like the recurring joke involving Daniel Bernhardt (actor, stuntman; among other things, trained Odenkirk; I remember him from the TV series "Mortal Kombat: Conquest", and so you definitely saw him in "The Matrix" - he played one of the agents). Basically, he plays a new character every time, and every time he gets killed. Therefore, his appearance is constantly being changed. It's only recently that he was killed at the Ballerina (and before that three times at the Week), and now he's been killed twice at Nobody. It seems to me that Sean Bean was killed less in his time.

Was this sequel really necessary, especially when Ilya Naishuller himself is no longer in the director's post? The Russian director brought a corporate identity to the cinema, put a fair amount of creativity into each duel and revealed Bob Odenkirk from a new perspective in the image of a hero whose monotonous life was interrupted by espionage echoes from the criminal past.
The Indonesian Timo Tiajanto took over the sequel, and no matter how bloody ultranationalism he showed on the screen, the film completely lacks the soul of the creator. "Nobody 2" does not offer anything new, does not expand the original in the slightest and does not have such a flavor – it is destined to remain an ordinary sequel, which will be quickly forgotten.
The only thing I want to give a plus to this tape is for Bob Odenkirk, who covers the script with charisma and physical dedication, limping on both legs.
For me, the most amazing thing about the first part was how Odenkirk ran during the battle — like some kind of schmuck, not Rimbaud at all. I thought they'd fix it in this part, but no, I took a shit in my pants again.
Well, of course not the first part, but it was a bit hot too) He's like John Wick with this dog now. 🤌 His wife, of course, is a fire.. But they didn't really find out who she was, apparently she was some kind of sniper, since she was aiming right at the bullseye. And that kitten from the first part grew into a Lasagna ☺🐱 The music and fighting are good, but once again, this is not the first part) As for me, the first one was more interesting. 🔥 A very nice family-friendly quiet comedy, I advise everyone to watch it, especially in the summer when there are holidays and just relaxing) 🍿
@Ivangavrilyuk: even at the time of the release of the first part, the authors said that there would be no real crossover, but someone somewhere might flash by without directly mentioning the name. But since then, the who is still there.
Here, I was sitting so angry now, but when I looked at it, it became easier. 🤣🤣🤣 I got caught up in the mood of the movie. 🫵😎👍 The atmosphere of the first part is present. It's quite a watchable sequel. 🍿
The problem with the film is that the "killer goes somewhere with his family and kills people" plot has been seen in several passing films for streaming platforms over the past couple of years. After all, the first "Nobody" was something more than a dumb action movie. This movie had some kind of meaning and idea, originating from a real case, and it didn't need a meaningless sequel. "Nobody 2" is a good, but secondary action movie. And I don't understand why it was necessary to make it about Hutch. Judging by the low box office, the audience didn't get it either.
The second part is prettier and brighter than the first. We have finally decided on the genre of comedy/thrash thriller. And that's for the best, because it doesn't confuse the audience. I don't really like this genre, but it was OK to take a look once. There were some good moments, I liked the family idyll in the finale, including the rescued animals, even with the villainess's white dog)
Only those who have fully developed clip thinking will understand what is happening in this film. And I have the case when I added a movie to my favorites in advance, and then clutching my head, I think about what grade to give it.
