If someone does not know and is confused about the versions: The version of The Final Cut (released in 2007, there is no voice-over narration of Ford's character, you can see in his first scene) is the version preferred by the director and which the sequel made canon.

This painting needs nothing, unsurpassed harmony. To produce such a thing in 82 is, in a sense, an amazing phenomenon in itself.

The film has excellent vibe, visual, idea, but at the same time it is clear why it failed, because it is clearly not designed for the mass audience due to its slowness and meditativeness of the narrative.

visually it looks very good! even after 42 years, and it's just incredible!
but you need to get into the meditative flow of the plot, because at first it can be quite difficult without special activities

Ford's hero literally forced the replicant into intimacy with himself, and here it's kind of normal
