I love the classic trilogy more than anything else.
My opinion (criticism) about the early films of the Star Wars saga, in which Mark Hamill played the role of Luke Skywalker.
About the disadvantages of the movie saga:
I have little interest in the concept of lightsaber fighting.
As well as a mystical "power", which is both telekinesis (moving objects (such as lightsabers) through thought) and a kind of suggestion power (Yoda convinces the guards to skip and not inspect him).
I would also like to see more independence of the characters from Yoda and Luke and Obi Wan. Because these three represent the followers of a religious creed.
I also don't like that Luke's team is too easy to deal with the Imperials - like in the cartoons, even the giant Death Star was blown up (or am I confusing something?). It was too easy for them to achieve such a grand victory.
Another negative of the early "SOUNDS" is the episode where Vader strangles his officer with telekinesis. This fragment exposes Vader as a man who does not control his emotions, an inadequate and short-tempered tyrant, ruthless to his loyal supporters. (then I remembered a similar scene with Tuco Salamanca from the TV series Breaking Bad, where he beats up his assistant.)
Among the disadvantages, I would like to note that there is no global intrigue in the saga. "The Chosen One" and his team will sooner or later get to the main antihero, defeat him and have a happy ending. It just seemed to me that in this the saga is similar to the "Matrix" trilogy.
Positive:
Three early films of the saga (77, 80 and 83 years) I would classify them as fiction+adventure genres, with an age rating of 12+. They are spectacular, largely due to high-quality special effects and large-scale battles with large crowds.
I was wondering what else this saga might be interesting to a teenager? Perhaps, when watching the saga as a teenager, he will perceive the phenomenon of "power" from Z.V. as an analogue of a religious worldview. A reserve of patience, willpower, and responsibility that helps him cope with difficulties in real life.
