From Dusk Till Dawn

Tarantino is a genius! This film is one of my top 3 vampire films, along with Van Helsing and Interview with a Vampire.

My favorite movie. It was from him that he chose his first nickname in honor of the estate of the hero Clooney. And of course, the first love for Tarantino!

We were going to review it this time, I went to look in Tarantino's films, but I couldn't find it. It turns out that the director is not Tarantino, I didn't even know!

We reviewed the immortal classics not so long ago in order to show teenagers a real horror movie. The children did not immediately appreciate it.)

A cool movie from my childhood

Perhaps the best work of Robert Rodriguez as a director. A well-thought-out movie.

It's a great movie. It starts as an ordinary action movie, action-packed and intense, and gradually turns into such a terrible trash. When I watched it for the first time, it was even scary, especially from the finale. But the plot is also bombastic, the soundtrack is still in the playlist (especially After dark), the characters are super, the cast coped at 5+, the dialogues are spelled out perfectly. In general, well, you can't find fault with anything at all. A classic, it is a classic.

The first and second halves feel like two different films. It's like Tarantino shot the first one, and Rodriguez shot the second one.

Now the film looks "slightly" cringe in its general form. More, of course, it's a childhood movie with its pretense and stereotypes about vampires. When watching, one scene from the John Carpenter movie "Vampires" turned in my memory regarding stereotypes. I recommend watching it. And so, in general, you can and even need to watch from sunset.

I watch it every year not for vampires - although they are beautiful here - but for baby Juliet Lewis, the bombastic Clooney and the mega ambiguous Tarantino. What a cast, it's just incredible... And every time I regret that Seth didn't take Kate with him...

Tarantino wrote the script for this film to briefly once again show how much he likes women's legs. Did you have Salma Hayek's foot in your mouth? No? But he did. And I don't even blame him for that... (let's be happy for the maestro that he turned his fantasies into reality) 🥴

As a child, like everyone else, I watched this movie. I decided now at a more conscious age. And there are many questions.

1) there is a pretty good plot part, although it is not without flaws, because if we talk about the causal relationship, we can see that the bar stands on a pyramid, and there are a lot of remains, cars, etc. On the other hand, Danny Trejo's character tells the characters to leave, and it feels like there might not have been a fight without the bouncer. Nevertheless, we'll put, say, 8/10 for this part.

2) but the actual vampire scenes are a complete failure and a cringe. It feels like you're watching another part of a "Very Scary movie" or "Hotheads," although masks and makeup of this level are even more organic there. And all this action takes about 10 minutes globally. I'm not talking about the inconsistency in the strength and speed of vampires' conversion. Here it is conditionally 4/10.

In total, we are just leaving for 6/10. How differently do you perceive childhood movies as an adult?

I'm not a fan of vampire movies, but this one and Blade are great old-school fantasy action movies :)

It's a very cool movie. When I watched it for the first time, I was very surprised at what the film turns into in the second half. But this is a very cool performance, and even when I review this picture again, I always look forward to "that very moment." In short, I advise everyone to watch, the plot here is cool, the actors are also very cool. The setting of the hinterlands of America and Mexico has been passed on with a bang. A truly legendary film, and Tarantino was the envy of everyone 😁
