And why did I doubt that Gwyneth Paltrow was not suitable for the role of the cunning, rich, wayward and spoiled Emma?

For me, this is one of the best variations of this piece. Gwyneth Paltrow is the perfect Emma.

In the movie, of course, Knightley's sympathy for Emma is more obvious than in the book. In the book, I began to guess about his feelings much later.
