Overview
In honor of his birthday, San Francisco banker Nicholas Van Orton, a financial genius and a cold-hearted loner, receives an unusual present from his younger brother, Conrad: a gift certificate to play a unique kind of game. In nary a nanosecond, Nicholas finds himself consumed by a dangerous set of ever-changing rules, unable to distinguish where the charade ends and reality begins.

a great thriller that can be reviewed every few years. So, of course, I recommend it to everyone without exception. Just keep in mind that you should not cook borscht or iron the laundry, every moment of the film is important.
Enjoy your viewing.
"Do you want to know what it is? What's the point. John chapter nine, verse twenty-five: "One thing I know, I was blind, but now I see."
One of the representatives of the rich stratum of society (hereinafter gg) is attacked by melancholy. The days become gray, mundane and boring. Just at this time, gg is "celebrating" his 48th birthday all alone. And then he replays in his memory an episode from childhood, when his father jumped off the roof at the age of 48. It's like we're being told that gg is almost on the verge and ready to follow his father's path. Fortunately, his brother noticed this and made a very expensive gift (it could have been much cheaper, but the rich have their own quirks)), which saved gg from the blues (with a flight from the roof of the house). For how long? Not known)
The movie is great. Even when you know the plot, you still want to watch the movie over and over again.
What a cool freeze frame:
As I say in most cases when watching old films from the 80s and 90s and sometimes the 2000s. They don't do that anymore in modern times.
I recommend it for viewing!
In one set with "The Truman Show".
Now, of course, we are all film critics, because we have reviewed a lot of works.
Sometimes actions and events feel too fabulous and not logical. But the movie is really good.
It is quite possible to see.
