The Bluff

An average movie at a time to pass the evening with interest. Priyanka Chopra is very good in the lead role, the images of the main action heroines suit her. High-quality visual does not let you get bored. The downside is that the plot is too flat and uncomplicated, but if you don't look for depth in the film, it looks pretty good.

Urban and Chopra are the undeniable advantages of the film. They are always good and will decorate even a mansion. It was shot well and the picture is really beautiful. But damn. When there was news about the film, I already wrote about the date. We should have set the date a hundred years earlier. It's not 1846! The era of pirates in the Caribbean has been coming to an end since Teach's death in 1718 and the appearance of powerful and fast fleets of the maritime superpowers of those times in these seas. The thirties of the 18th century are the end of the era of pirates in those waters. That is, a hundred years earlier than the events of the film. In the 19th century, pirates seemed to come from legends. The transatlantic route is completely taken away from sailing ships by steamships. Bloody Mary died in 1721. Why is that? So that there's a basis for revolvers and things like that in the plot? I don't even know, almost everyone is running around with flintlocks anyway. I know many people don't care about this, but for me it looks like musketeers during the First World War or heroes in the army of Suvorov.

I liked Urban's image and it was nice to see Temuera Morrison. That's all.

Two stars only for the beautiful scenery. Otherwise, it's a pity for the time spent on it. 😒

There is logic - this is her island, this is her cave, she was preparing, she is cunning and resourceful in her own right, plus there is more or less some kind of backstory. Fights with men look like they are with men, there are nuances in the form of assistants and motivation.
It was a good movie for the evening, it seemed like there were a lot of such films right now, but everything is sound here!

Here, especially for March 8, there was an Indian film about too strong women and pathetic British pirates "The Bluff" (which the local pirates translated as "Bluff") from the producers of the Russo Brothers starring furry Karl Urban and Miss Universe zero Priyanka Chopra. In the end, this is not a pirate movie at all, but some kind of survivor on a shitty island against the "One-eyed Harassment Club", and in terms of action, even, forgive me, "Ballerina" was better and more inventive. True, there are a couple of lulz with weapons here, like the multi-shot Harmonica Pistol Jarre for connoisseurs, but in general, the characters perform some extremely stupid actions at every turn and the exotics from the museum can't fix it.

You can only screw up this govinda chokopai if there's nothing else to watch, or you're an Urban fan girl, uh-huh.
