But in general, the film is not scary, there are some pretty bloody scenes, but even those who do not like horror will be able to watch it calmly.
The most interesting character, imho, is the two-faced young priest Noah. He diluted the whole mystical plot with some kind of realistic conflict
(It's hard to blame him for thinking that the guys were occultists, huh. You get kidnapped, drugged, and then you watch someone disappear into nowhere in the most disgusting way. Yes, that's the only way you'll believe and start chopping down "demons"). Percy Hines White played it perfectly.
And, of course, Michelle Fairley is good, as expected. Even considering her small role.
Overall, I liked the movie, but I still would like a little more of everything — more frightening moments, more character disclosure, more depth or something. But on Halloween it will be possible to reconsider.
One plus - Sophie Neliss admired the whole movie.
We've already reached the point where if a horror movie has a solid plot, then it's a great joy...
of course, it still doesn't look so bad, but it's simple, even bloody.
At its core, it's more like a cocktail of different franchises. It's even noticeable that they were inspired by something so iconic and tried to do something new.
the film does not give any fear or horror at all. There are a lot of eerily readable cliche moments.
If you don't have high hopes, you can spend time once.
But if you don't look, it's fine.
