An excellent and atmospheric film

A creepy ending, that look at the camera

The film is addictive, even after 20 years it looks fresh.

If you're wondering, in real life, the ending is not so sad. The killer was found in 2019. It turns out that he was already serving a life sentence for the murder of his daughter-in-law in 1994.

I've reviewed it several times and it still leaves a residue, especially from the ending. How many such films have I seen in Korea, where a policeman knows the criminal, but can neither prove nor catch him, and can neither return nor help the victims, only mourn. Like in the movie The Instrument of Death. There are 5 children missing and no one could find them at ALL. There were suspicions about the parents and so on, and when the policeman responsible for this case found the killer by the knot that the killer tied on the boys' legs and found the weapon with which they were killed, he simply cannot prove that this man is the killer.. It can't, there is no evidence or witnesses, and the bodies have decomposed and only bones remain 🥺💔💔💔

This is a true masterpiece of Korean cinema. a very strong and atmospheric film.
especially when you look at a * u, realizing that all this is based on real events. and also this scrapping of the fourth wall..

It's a tough movie, but very interesting

I absolutely do not understand Korean cinema. There are many good and interesting things in this film, but everything is crossed out by the inappropriate behavior and emotions of the characters. In some places, it feels like you're watching either clowning or a live broadcast from a madhouse. And so it is in many Korean movies/TV series. Although maybe for them this is the ordinary behavior of average citizens and I really don't understand.)

So who was the killer?

It's a moronic and sooooo long movie.
Absolutely some kind of crazy ending, according to which it is absolutely not clear who was the killer in the end.
They sorted it out, and everything went down the drain..
It is absolutely not worth a 2-hour viewing. It 's just awful 👎

An incredibly strong ending...

I didn't understand anything. Who's the killer? What's the point?

I thought to the end that the copycat killer was the new cop.
