So, girls, are we waiting for the premiere with Bill?

We are waiting, despite the mustache. )) Considering that Gus Van Sant is directing, and after watching the trailer, you can expect nominations in different categories.

So, based on the real events of 1977, the film "Dead Man's Wire". I've never heard this story, but I didn't feel any tension from the movie. I watched it just because I watched it. Yes, it was interesting and nothing more. You don't worry about either the hostage or the "deceived" Tony. And I can't explain the reason. All the actors did a good job with their roles, Skarsgard once again showed his talent. But... Something was missing.

And yet this film sooooo romanticizes the image of a criminal. "National hero." Ugh!
I do not know where the truth is, but it is as if he signed the contract himself, did not fully understand the terms, did not pay himself... And then he decided that he was a victim.

And even this is not the problem of the film, not the director's position... As if this were the reality of the West. Think of Floyd or Bundy...

@an_khv: PS. I would never have recognized Billy from the OSD in the person of Richard Hall!))

I'd like to start with the fact that the film is very beautifully and stylistically shot. the whole visual is for the era of that time, I think it was done very well. attention was constantly focused on all sorts of small details.

well, the plot, it seems, too, everything is quite good. I know the real story superficially. I even heard something like true Edge in a podcast somewhere, but that's not the point.

Well, Skarsgard is good and crazy in his role. once again, he surprises with his transformation and departure into an image.

sometimes, of course, everything sagged in the plot and tired of dialogues, but the acting and the aforementioned visual saved this film in many ways.
