He's handsome, but with a rotten soul. The Olsen witch is "Scary", but with moral principles and values, with a conscience. But she is certainly not "scary" - she is terribly beautiful. She taught him a lesson, he coped with the punishment and the lesson. He regained his appearance and, Mackie's sister, Kate Olsen, fulfilled his request - she returned his eyesight to his friend and family, Zola.
It's fashionable to fall in love with a monster if you reveal his soul.

I liked the handsome man with tattoos and scars much more.
Without them, he is an ordinary kid, of whom there are many, but with them the actor has become more interesting to play.
