- baba... duuuk
The film is absolutely not scary, and at times even a little unpleasant. No character is sympathetic, and Noah Wiseman's acting is just terrible.
It would have been a great movie if it turned out at the end that there was no monster. The technique of an unreliable narrator, where mother and son would turn out to be mentally unstable personalities that imagined a monster for themselves. But alas.
You have a new friend.
His name is Babadook.
As soon as you get into bed,
He's coming to play with you.
He waits for the darkness of the night.
Guess where he lives?
The moon will look in the window,
The house will be filled with silence.
What is that strange knocking in the closet?
Who's knocking?
The Babadook.
Shut up!
Freeze like a mouse!
Otherwise, you're screwed.
If you just tell me suddenly,
The word "Babadook" is loud
. Long-armed and big-eyed.
Skinny, long and toothy.
In a black hat and raincoat,
It will crawl through any crack.
He needs your fright.
The mask is worn by a Babadook.
And as soon as she takes it off,
Your blood will freeze in your veins.
The darkness will encircle you.
Don't look at his face!
If you can't stand it…
Self…
If you want to…
Die…
