It's a pretty old movie, from 2008, and I've been bookmarking it for a long time, but I just got together and watched it. I recognized a couple of actors, one from "Game of Thrones" (Tom Vlasicha), and the other from "The Avengers" (Daniel Bruhl). The film itself turned out to be a kind of gloomy Gothic tale, a classic dark fantasy. The story is quite interesting and well shot, most of the actors are great and the atmosphere turned out to be quite tense. I was pleased with the reliability, the boys at the mill walk dirty, as workers should, and the graphics, even if they are few, are still made with high quality. The tale itself is predictable, but it's well told, except that the fight with the soldiers somehow gets out a little bit - they appeared out of nowhere and disappeared into nowhere. I also liked Krabat's lover, Singer (Paula Kahlenberg), a pretty girl, although she was overly white-toothed for those times, but this freedom in presentation can be forgiven. The film is based on the book "Krabat, or The Legends of the Old Mill" by the German writer Otfried Preisler and follows the plot almost exactly, except that the test conditions in the finale were slightly changed, but not critically. Overall, I liked the movie, although it runs for almost two hours, but it's interesting to watch, it's a strong good story. You can watch it.
