The Family Stone (2005)

It's a boring movie.

The most boring, and very often even annoying film, which for some reason is called a comedy. The disgusting dubbing and the scary Parker in the title role, although this is not indicated in any way.

And I liked the movie, it's interesting, although Parker has a slightly strange role here. By the way, I've seen situations like this twice in my life when one brother didn't work out, and a couple got married with the second.

And I love this movie, I watch it every New year. Because I can't stand Sarah Jessica Parker. And the comedy is wonderful, with a touch of drama, some kind of warm, with a touch of sadness at the end. But everyone has their own, I personally like it.

It's just strange how you could fall in love with your fiancee's sister so quickly and at first sight. Also so much so that he seemed to have forgotten about her right away. He didn't love her either, it turns out.
Yes, and she changed so quickly, she also got along with this weirdo. She thought they were strange, and at the same time chose the strangest one. She also changed so quickly when she started dating him. It's like I've relaxed and stopped being so right, but that's why I couldn't do it before. The family is one, just a guy now another with whom she spent in fact only one evening.
And what does it turn out to be, their mother is not against her now, because she is dating someone else. But he's her son too.

The most embarrassing movie. It is very embarrassing at first for the character of Jessica Parker, for all the brothers, each of whom is a little strange, for inviting a stranger as a guest without the consent of the hosts, for demonstrating the love scene of an elderly couple... It feels like this is a family in which not one freak, but everyone. This gives the feeling that they were artificially brought together in order to put more pressure on the feeling of pity and encourage unity. As if it's impossible without it. And so it feels like I was made to feel something unnatural, because that's the way it should be. Ugh.

And I agree that the story itself is a bit strange: the very invitation of the second sister so that your boyfriend would definitely fall in love with her, and the fact that they are together and at the same time do not want to be in the same room... It is completely unclear how they initially met and came up with the idea of an engagement. If they were complete strangers with no pretensions to a wedding, the plot would be more logical, but then there is no way to bring these people together as one family. In general, the nonsense that I don't like is built on love triangles. Life shows that everyone in them is alien to each other.

I heard it was a good Christmas movie, so I decided to watch it with my friend on Christmas Day... WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

The movie is just awful. First of all, it's not really Christmas (just because the events take place on Christmas Day, the film doesn't become Christmas). Secondly, it's not even close to comedy. It's kind of a solid cringe. I expected more from the 2005 film.

In any case, I don't recommend it, and I consider my time wasted.

I started watching because of Sarah J.P. and I thought the whole movie would be funny bullying her or something like that. As a result, the film almost immediately descended into drama. A strange and unpleasant family with their cockroaches, who do not want to let strangers into their circle. Then they catch up with everyone's problems in order to reveal their inner world and justify their abomination.

From the Christmas spirit, there is only an unexpected and abrupt falling in love and some kind of happy ending.
And the ending itself without a mother... if they were hoping for the light sadness that happens in comedies, they didn't succeed at all.
It's a one-time movie, and you definitely shouldn't spoil the already non-existent festive mood (
