Overview
Matt Lee Whitlock, respected chief of police in small Banyan Key, Florida, must solve a vicious double homicide before he himself falls under suspicion. Matt Lee has to stay a few steps ahead of his own police force and everyone he's trusted in order to find out the truth.
There are a lot of really exciting scenes in the movie "Out of Time". Screenwriter David Kollar manages to constantly put the hero of Washington on the brink of failure, and in such a situation, you don't want to, but you have to worry about the latter. The picture is full of critical moments when the hero finds himself on the brink, and at the very tip of it. There are a minimum of shootouts, basically all actions are logical, quest, adventurous. But this does not spoil the picture at all, sometimes it is useful to make a detente with such films.
An exciting plot, the game of Washington and Eva Mendez, adult good humor, the incredible beauty of Ravell's jazz music, giving off Latin motifs. In addition, it is necessary, of course, to note the excellent selection of picturesque subtropical landscapes.
In general, the film is worth watching for every fan of the genre. I can't call this movie perfect, but it really deserves quite high marks, and to be watched at least once.
I first saw it back in the early 2010s. I liked it. I've been reviewing it sometimes since then. You've already said it all. The duet of Washington and Mendes impressed back in "Training Day". And here he did not disappoint.
