Overview
Though Kevin has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher, there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey, Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him — as well as everyone around him — as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.
Out of the entire trilogy, this movie came to me a thousand times. I've reviewed it 2-3 times.

and if I remember correctly, then this craft crossed the road to the Billy Milligan project - that's what I would look at! so 2/5 for the movie itself and minus the score just because I can.
and who wants to look at the normal performance of an actor with the transformation into different personalities - watch the movie asylum.
A very disturbing film.
The beast is certainly powerful, but I did not see fingers twice as large as human ones) Or did not notice.
The film is interesting, but the whole plot unfolds in almost one building, which is very boring for me.
When watching this movie, it makes you think and get into this movie.

@buka_Shka: I have some comments (critical) to your comment. (I watched "Split" a long time ago, I may be mistaken in the retelling of the plot).
2.1 I quote You: "100% fantasy." And how can you portray half a dozen (or so) personalities in one person on the screen? The easiest way is by dressing the characters in their own unique clothes.
2.2 Do you dislike the director's portrayal of a specific Split personality (I've already forgotten the character's name)? Or his main personality (I would like to call him "judge" or "admin").
3.1 And in general, how to convey by visual means the strangeness of someone's consciousness? I remembered the movie "Being John Malkovich" (1999, Comedy, Drama, Fantasy). But that movie is not a horror, not a thriller.

The actor is just great. How he got used to each role, conveyed a huge range of emotions. Unbelievable.

And actually, it is he who is most pitied in this whole trilogy. A sad end.
if we talk about the plot itself: everyone praises (and I really liked it before watching this movie) the body horror substance, they say, frankly, what really surrounds us is vital. but after this film, the substance, as the disclosure of this topic, is childish babble. at one time, I couldn't master lolita for a long time: because it was very difficult to read it morally, I put it off every couple of pages and at least a couple of days, or even weeks, I comprehended this trash. the other day I finished "my dark Vanessa" - in the same pile. and this movie just finished me off in that regard. From the moment he hugged his psychologist, I stopped watching, just listened, the sound of bones breaking was enough. I was just torn to shreds when Madame policewoman approached the girl and said that her uncle, her guardian, had come to pick her up. I went back to watching it again, just to see this moment firsthand. It was incredibly painful, and even now I'm writing and crying. There's also this parallel (if it was intended), as her uncle urges her to undress, because ANIMALS don't wear clothes... and then there's a new beast. that's what it hurts to watch, listen to, and somehow be the reason for it. but this does not make the film bad, rather the opposite, but precisely because of this, this film is not at all for review and not for a wide audience. was it really painful for me to watch
I howled with bitter tears.
I've decided to review the movie now. Something was missing for me, it seemed long-winded, there was little disclosure of subpersonalities (it says that there are 24 of them, but in fact we see only 5-6 for the whole film). And here, after all, the main focus is on the personality of the Beast. The film goes as far as fiction. (However, according to the Shyamalan trilogy, this is how it should be).
In general, if you want to explore the topic of split personality more, then I recommend the series with Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried "Crowded Room". That's where these personalities reveal themselves as much as possible from the psychology of each other's perception. And I still love this movie because of the performance of James McAvoy and Anya Taylor Joy. I give a solid 4 out of 5 rating.
