Nosferatu (1922)

Many people have said that this is a very cool horror movie.. But somehow I can't agree with them.

It's quite cool for its time, but you still need to take into account the limited capabilities of the equipment that was used for filming and, in general, the fact that filmmaking only started 30 years ago.

Just as alchemists search for recipes through trial and error, so directors, screenwriters, cameramen and others searched for the perfect movie concept. Where there is a full-fledged story in which you need to conclude everything that they knew about cinema at that time. Now we can assess where we didn't put the squeeze on, and where we overdid it. This is an encyclopedia on how to do it, the creators went without a guiding map, they eventually created it. There may be claims to this creation, but it is impossible not to note the cult and significance of the work. And I would like to scold only for the behavior of the main characters and the villain, it was too painful for me to have enough soul and an actor's desire to surprise.

I spent the whole film in admiration of the music, 17 composers worked perfectly. Well, now this movie doesn't seem scary for a second, rather curious. It seemed to me that I was watching the musical Vampire Ball in a prehistoric version 😀

People who hate this movie, I don't understand you. This is one of the first paintings, it is already more than 100 years old, and at the time, when people had no idea about cinema, it is magnificent. Yes, the modern viewer of cinema will not find it scary, from the word at all, but it is stupid to underestimate his contribution to history, as has been said many times before me. Now Nosferatu is more of a historical monument, unpretentious and simple, but charming in this simplicity

When I was a child, I saw excerpts from this film in some kind of documentary and was wildly scared. And now I've grown up, revised it, and I think it's a masterpiece. It can still strike fear and create a Gothic atmosphere.

Many moments are now more amusing than frightening. On the other hand, the image of Nosferatu himself: claws, teeth, eyes, leaves an indelible impression. Video of How people invested in the film. How many shots were made not in pavilions, but on location. To be honest, the film is amazing when you realize that it is more than a hundred years old. It is quite strange to compare this film with modern horror films, technical progress has gone far ahead. I am glad that despite the litigation, the film was saved and not all copies were destroyed. So after more than a hundred years, we can see what the first vampires of cinema were like.

Oh, how good. in general, this is not my first experience with silent films, which, by the way, was positive, apparently I chose films successfully. although I turned on nosferatu, before that I didn't even pay attention to something silent. but of course that didn't stop me.

The movie is really not scary. but I did not include it for this purpose, but for the atmosphere and the plot, which for some reason interested me. plus, the advertisement for the new nosferatu worked, maybe I'll even watch it, I haven't decided.

the story itself is addictive. I watched almost without stopping, the picture is great. some techniques are just a delight to the eyes.
the vampire himself is gorgeous, although of course he is catastrophically small, perhaps I will write down the disadvantages of the film, heh

a film where they scare not with cheap screamers, but with the atmosphere and the play of light and shadow.

The movie is really creepy, especially this nosferatu! or knok. Of course, you can't take this movie seriously anymore, but the vampire's face is really scary hahaha!!

Naively, but every movie lover should definitely watch it.
