Overview

Clarice Starling is a top student at the FBI's training academy. Jack Crawford wants Clarice to interview Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a brilliant psychiatrist who is also a violent psychopath, serving life behind bars for various acts of murder and cannibalism. Crawford believes that Lecter may have insight into a case and that Starling, as an attractive young woman, may be just the bait to draw him out.

As soon as one truly original movie blows up the screens, Hollywood turns on the copy machine. Each hit is followed by dozens of "inspired" projects: with the same plot, but different faces. In the first part of the big collection โ€” the movies that set the fashion and generated a wave of imitations.

One of the best detective thrillers (imho). Keeps you in suspense from the beginning to the very end. The music is well chosen and conveys the atmosphere exactly. Jonathan Demme did his best.

The movie is just a**ing. Anthony Hopkins' acting is just great, it was not for nothing that he was awarded an Oscar, although he did not have such a long time in the film itself, but it was enough to enjoy his performance. The plot itself, shooting, locations, camera angles, emotions of the characters - 10/10๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿฅบ

Anthony Hopkins is the main decoration of this film. The movie wouldn't have shot without him. Very cool
The movie is crazy. Now I really like watching old movies (19... years) and this one is really hooked! The actors' acting is right up to goosebumps!

Foster and Hopkins are one of the best duos of the 20th century.
Well, for 91 years of norms.
But the book is much tastier.
The film is a bit crumpled, a lot of the books just wouldn't fit in there.
After watching the TV series Hannibal with Mads Mikkelsen as Lecter, for me Hopkins is closer to the book Hannibal, reading books you imagine Hopkins.
To understand the whole storyline of the Silence of the Lambs, it is worth reading the book)
And then watch the movie.

The Silence of the Lambs, like many masterpieces of world art, does not keep itself in the stamped framework of any one genre, but organically combines many things: realism, psychologism, drama both personal and social (the role of a woman in the world of men), philosophical - yes, all this also, coupled with a really interesting thriller storyline about serial killers and a number of scenes and images that have rightfully entered the pantheon of horror culture symbols. Being shot without any far-fetched experimentation and outrageous, it is almost an ideal movie.

It was very cool. In general, the film is absolutely not my genre, but I decided to watch it and I really liked it. Foster is incredibly beautiful in this movie and you can watch it at least because of her. The most interesting moment for me was when the Lecturer runs away. His escape, incredibly cruel, reminds us that he is still not a positive hero in this story, because like the heroine, you gradually fall under the creepy charm of the Lecturer and forget about it

I watch this movie once a year, and I never get tired of it. It's a good classic of the 90s.
Hopkins' goosebumps look and amazing camerawork create an incredible psychological effect.
10/10
A good movie. A classic already, which is still interesting. At the right moments you worry about the characters, at the right moments you feel disgusted. The plot is addictive. And this is also a sign of quality. Because it can be difficult to impress modern viewers who have seen a lot of things with old thrillers / horror films.
P.S. Although the age of the film is, of course, noticeable, but it suits him.)

With Hopkins playing like that, he can start having nightmares at night.
It's a creepy movie, of course, even though it's not a horror movie.

It's a great movie, I just got around to it, I liked the freedom of the plot, that's what the art of cinema means.
