The film is actually a festival film and is unlikely to reach the mass audience because of its presentation. it may seem boring because of its simplicity and meditativeness, but damn..
a film about life, with a seemingly ordinary story of an ordinary man. maybe it's too melancholic somewhere, touching somewhere, but still soulful..
Plus, there's a cool visual and camerawork.
Of course, in the style of human stories in the late Wild West, I usually prefer something like "Call of the Ancestors" with Ford, but this film definitely dragged on.
I'm sorry that Robert never saw or found his family again.😢
One life. One person. Oh...
I was so touched by the last minutes of the movie. Everything we were shown led to them. And when the silent credits rolled, I just stared at them and couldn't move until the music started.
It's such a strong, yet simple painting that it's impossible not to love it. And at the same time, it is also visually aesthetic.
It's a great movie, it helps you ask the right questions. And I hope the answers will come with time.
A touching and heartfelt film. Perhaps a good start to the cinematic year.
⭐ Subjective 4 out of 5 stars ⭐
what a beautiful movie, and how sad it is...
incomparable, but how fucking sad.
It's not clear about the title, how does it relate to the film?
And my wife and daughter died in the fire, did they?
better reconsider.
It is extremely clear, and there is an order to the depth of thought.
You just need to get into the mood, understand the main character, understand how he lived, and what was changing in his life. There will be a lot of interesting thoughts on the outcome. It's just that almost all of them are sad.
Watch a good movie already
nature, of course, plays an important role in the mood and message of the film.
I didn't have much hope that everything would end in a happy ending, so for me, to a greater extent, it's still a film about accepting a situation, no matter how scary and devastating it might be, as well as about finding meaning in life afterward.
Well, it's sad, of course
And if I hadn't known what it was, I wouldn't have recognized Kerry Condon..
Well, Felicity Jones is wonderful..
is an incredibly beautiful and melancholic story about the life of an ordinary person who just lives his life. In the end, the moment with the plane brought tears to my eyes, from the realization of the kinship of such a life with mine.
A true epic and a drama of a single life at the same time
It's amazing how well it turned out to combine it.
