The most anticipated disaster movie of 2026🔥
The first part went very far, maybe the effect of watching on the "big screen" also played, but the film is decent.
the logic of what is happening is lost in many moments, it looks ridiculous and has its own questions.
The film is simply overloaded with unnecessary plot threads that don't make much sense.
but the visuals and effects still look cool. on the big screen, it adds as much atmosphere and excitement as possible.
of course you can watch it. in any case, it looks +- worthy, although it has some jambs and looks weaker than the first part, in my opinion.
If only it were a separate film about the post-apocalypse with such a picture.
We had no garter in comparison to the first part
And the impressions of the film would be stronger.
How did those outside survive if there are constant storms in Liverpool and London?
But most importantly, why was the film released in the wake of the popularity of news about Greenland?😁
Script nonsense:
- there is radiation all around and debris is falling, but not where and not where the first stone fell.
- there's a war going on around the hole, but a minibus goes there regularly
- fuel does not deteriorate, there is no shortage of it, every homeless person has a lot of weapons, everyone has plenty of food except the heroes
- a ferry with ladders, some are crawling in one direction, others in the opposite direction for some reason
- on the way, people got out and used minibuses and went home
- the guy lived 15 years without insulin, apparently recovered, etc. etc.
and in the garish voiceover, they just translated that he's been here for 15 years.
It's a pretty dull and gray road movie, and even though I love disaster movies, there's no chemistry here. Probably because the disasters have already receded into the background, and the fate of the Garrity family has not attracted me.
Nothing is clear from the plot, what kind of coalitions are running and shooting at the trenches there, if everyone can live in the "promised land" in the crater and sing Kumbaya)
Everyone is fighting. They're shooting. but gg always comes across exceptionally kind people: they feed, water, give cars and supplies. The fragments fall exclusively nearby, in 5 years everyone should have died from floods, earthquakes, radiation and other troubles, but no: everyone is trying to help. It feels like everyone survived just for them ...
and yes, the minibus to the crater is something..
The film could have been great if it hadn't made sense in almost every line of events, there's drama, and that's a plus, but a lot of minor inconsistencies spoil the impression.🥲
Overall, the film feels almost the same as the first part, only without the novelty effect. At least there was a freshness of the idea, a sense of impending disaster, and anxiety. All this is already familiar here, the formula is clear, the stakes seem to be lower, even if they try to show us the opposite. There is tension, but it is more artificial — it does not cling as it should.
The characters are normal, the actors are trying, but the drama is lame in places. Some decisions look far-fetched, and conflicts sometimes arise simply because "we need to move the plot." And this feeling that the script controls the characters, and not the other way around, prevents you from fully immersing yourself.
Visually, everything is neat, sometimes even spectacular. The disaster looks decent, but there aren't many wow moments. You look, you realize that everything is done normally, and that's it. It doesn't break through emotions.
As a result, "Greenland 2" is such a plus or minus replay of the first part, maybe even a little weaker. You can watch it, it doesn't get boring, but you probably won't want to review it either. A one—night stand movie-no revelations, no powerful scenes, just a sequel for the sake of a sequel.
Then they say 5 years have passed, and at the table the child says that I have been here for 15 years.
What is 5 years old, what is 15 years old, where does the insulin come from? In the first movie, the nurse gave him a machine for a week and they had a month's supply. But 5 or 15 years after the apocalypse, in one shot, the mother says: Nathan, take the insulin!
The emphasis was on this! What the hell?
It's better not to do anything than to do it haphazardly.
- we talked about water and food supplies in the boat, but we didn't think to check the gasoline reserves. And this is provided that no one was taken into the bunker.
The woman is running around with this son, every second - how are you, how are you, you're okay - they've been through so much, and she treats him like a 3-year-old.
What kind of substances was the screenwriter under that wrote this?
Why is it safe in the crater?! Why doesn't a meteorite fall there? Magic or the fuckedness of the scriptwriter?
As boring as possible. The first part, although it raised questions, was at least exciting.
A hack!
, there are zero questions for the actors. Butler, as always, is on top
But the movie...
Bunker for billionaires looked more logical.
Funny thing about the stairs, I still didn't understand why everyone was crawling in different directions.
It's quite as good as the first part, well, maybe a little.
— No
— Well, please
— Well, okay
In short: it's illogical, implausible, and absolutely not catchy.
Alas, they have forgotten how to make disaster films. Take for example the same "Armageddon". There's humor, and tears, and tension, and intrigue. Where did everything go?
I don't recommend it to anyone, don't waste your time!
And the most annoying thing is that the people around this family die in batches throughout the movie, but they don't have scratches. I don't feel sorry for my father, he was dying anyway. Yes, and the main characters laugh after 5 minutes, well, they died and died.
The actor who plays his son seems to have been taken from a school drama club somewhere, his antics are absolutely not in the subject.
It was a nightmare, at least the first part was watchable.
