Overview
The punk universe of "King & Jester" is threatened with destruction. The fairy-tale world is collapsing under the footsteps of the dead, resurrected by the mad Necromancer. No one can defeat the villain except his creators - friends separated by death... Gorshok and Knyaz.

The plot is ordinary, you might say, but generally normal, it didn't infuriate and it was possible to watch)
The songs that we love and the head from the beginning were good)
The ending is good, the performance at the end is catchy with the fans.
Watch only after watching the series, even though they tell you what happened before, it will seem like a lot of trash to an unprepared person.
It was a joy to see Jane Air, which was burned out 🔥
The scene from the remade "Memories of a former Love" turned out to be beautiful, and I got aesthetic pleasure. 😍
I think I'll review it again when it's released on KP - after all, it's usually impossible to recognize some of the lines in the cinema.
Although I really liked the series at the time, although I didn't really listen to the king and the fool in my youth.
Well, after an hour of the screening, four people left the hall
The film is pretty average in everything, but it probably has a right to exist.
A bright picture, a great soundtrack, good makeup and costumes, light drug addiction and humor (I laughed a few times), good acting of the main characters, for me personally, a separate plus is Lissov's cameo, and the ending that made me cry. That's probably all.
Of course, there are more disadvantages. Unnecessary cameos by Boretsky and both Muzychenko. Terrible reworking of some songs (pop music started). The same problem with the characters' speech, I didn't understand a word that the devil from the lighthouse was saying, and only then it turned out to be a reference to the old house, and that's not all. The final battle is just no words, just a clash. A big minus for using AI.
Well, we're waiting for the director's version and that unreleased song.
I was ready for thrash and a dose of drug addiction (although I can understand what alienated those who ran away from the hall almost at the very beginning). As well as deliberately old-school and crooked special effects. But the camera during the fights was terribly annoying. Twitching, shaking, I can't make out half of what's happening. And the sound is terrible. Sometimes I couldn't make out the words.
The jokes are of different degrees and cringe, although my friend and I even laughed more than once. But then, on leaving the hall, someone was outraged, as he was insulted by the bastards. Imho, in some places these jokes were quite funny, but the authors did not have time to stop in time and continued to joke over and over again, where necessary and not necessary. So it became more dumb than funny.
Lots of references. Moreover, not only on the songs of KISH.
The plot is not stressful, but the film seems to be stretched. Some people's acting left much to be desired, but Vlad and Konstantin were enough to play. Unlike in the series, it seems to me that Vlad has even more distinguished himself here. And there's more of a Prince in the center than a Pot. In the series, I was glad that at least in the fairy-tale world the Prince and the Potty were together, so after the film it somehow became sad...
As for the rework of the songs: I even liked "The Witch and the Donkey," but "Memories of a former Love.".. I don't even know what to say. The visuals are mostly interesting, and the sound is pop. In the most vulgar sense. But I may not be objective, because the song is one of my favorites.
And not to end on a sad note. The part that was shot in nature is very beautiful, it's a delight.
I also had a desire to listen to many of Kish's songs.
Well, it's not an unimportant moment after any movie: you forget right after the credits or you keep thinking about what you saw. This film was in the second category. But it's not for everyone, to put it mildly.
The visual is awesome. I kiss the costume designer's hands, as they say - if it weren't for public opinion, I would dress exactly like this.
I probably liked it a little less than the series, but I'll be happy to review it anyway when it's released on kinopoisk.
I didn't go in from the re-recordings of "The Witch and the Donkey" - I could hear Shlyapnikov very much and somehow I didn't like it, but I liked "Memories of a former Love" a little more, but purely because of the visual. As it is, there seem to be a lot of references to the songs, but they themselves are missing, but those that are there are giving them away, so they give them away.
Kostya and Vlad are wonderful, Kostya shakes you out of your skin. Ilya Grishin (the Necromancer) was amazing at the time of his appearance, but over time it was as if his role was changed and this chic disappeared.
The humor came in, it's stupid for me, from wolves I laughed all over the hall (it's good that I chose an early session and was alone).
It was great to continue the topic of Misha and Andrey's relationship. At least somewhere their souls have talked and will be at peace. The scene from the concert is in my heart, to the point of tears.
I can honestly say that I'm not disappointed, I'm sorry for the Prince and the Princess, but it's interesting that they were separated, one couple in one world, the other in another, and forever connected to each other. I'm waiting for the release on kinopoisk and maybe some kind of documentary about the shooting - some locations are incredibly beautiful.
It's a shame that they did it in the style of Russian fairy tales reworked in a modern way, these inscriptions are generally superfluous, it was extremely insulting that the music was spoiled with unnecessary bits, the original would have been inserted at least
In principle, they got a little weird about the plot.
In general, a cringe is a cringe, you can watch it, but through the prism of sarcasm
Obviously, the main mistake of the creators was that they did not appreciate their audience and their ability to read allusions.
As one girl said while watching in the cinema, the one sitting behind me is a fierce game, but I like it! This comment accurately describes my impressions of the film.
Among the advantages: gorgeous actors who just fit the image perfectly, I especially liked the Necromancer, bright decorations, gorgeous makeup, peculiar lamp graphics, humor (in some moments right into the voice) and of course the soundtrack and songs!
Of the cons: a crumpled plot (for example, why a psychiatrist turned into a marginal in 1 minute, why he became the husband of the Prince's wife, I still did not understand the scenario idea), slack in the narrative, at some moments it was downright tedious, and the work of a sound engineer. I couldn't make out half of what the ghost in the mirror was saying. And the final battle on the guitars upset me - I just wanted sound and drive when they hit each other ~~ fuck~~... with lightning, but even somehow let me down)
As it is, it's a great musical, with respect for a man who has truly become an idol for millions. I'll definitely watch it again when it's released on Kinopoisk.
The series "The King and the Fool", produced by Andrey Knyazev and released three years ago, in my opinion, turned out to be good in many ways. It perfectly combined the "reality" in which the band itself lived, and the "fabulousness" in which the heroes of the band's songs existed. In it, the Prince respectfully showed the personality of an old friend. Plus, anyway, the series fulfilled one of the main goals: it drew attention to the band's work, forcing many, including me, to re-listen to the songs that I listened to many years ago, and to get acquainted with those that passed by. It turned out, by the way, that these punk rockers are not such punk rockers in the way that I imagine bands of this genre to be. KISH, by the standards of even many modern Russian pop groups, is simply an example of adequacy, melody, and purity of language. And the near-folklore plots invented by the Prince are very interesting in themselves.
And here, it means, a full-length sequel has been released. It didn't come out suddenly. It was announced almost immediately after the premiere of the series. In principle, I was even pleased with the development of the topic - the authors and performers of the main roles were the same people who had already proved their professional aptitude once. However, the problem was that the series intertwined the fates of fictional characters and real ones. But the real Mikhail Gorshenev, alas, is dead. But the creators of the series did not lose their heads and said: "And we will have about fairy tales!". There are already doubts. From the outside, it looks like a final and irrevocable parasitism - after all, the Pot will be one of the heroes. And without a Pot, it seems like we don't really need this Internet of yours, sorry, the movie.
However, "The King and the Fool. Forever" pleasantly surprised. It's not like it was a masterpiece for all time, but I liked the concept and execution. The movie turned out to be quite a logical, though perhaps unnecessary, epilogue for the series. Despite the fact that most of the action takes place in a fairy-tale world, Knyazev's introspection in our world becomes the impetus for the story after he learns about Gorshenev's death. Well, in general, the film itself (and, of course, the finale) is Knyazev's way of bringing a final and irrevocable thought to the tightest ones: everyone forgave each other, but everyone had their own way back then, a decade and a half ago. You can, of course, reflect on what happened, but life is a harsh thing, even in the world of fairy tales. And we have to move on. But this is in terms of meanings.
In terms of the performance of "The King and the Fool. Forever" reminded me of a mix of American fantasy from the 80s like "Labyrinth" (even the plot is similar here: the goblin king (in our case, the Necromancer) He stole a bride (in our case, a Widow) and Alexander Rowe's Soviet fairy tales. It turned out not expensive, but with a soul and no shame: funny costumes and beautiful landscapes (filmed in the Murmansk region). If only all computer backgrounds could be replaced with hand-drawn backdrops, it would be quite good. It already looks cool and without pretensions, but it would be possible to turn on a completely stupid thing.
In general, you can throw slippers at me, but remove a few expressions from the film - however, funny ones in the subject - such as "assholes don't drown", and also add a couple more musical numbers such as the necromancer final song "Memories of former love" (a gorgeous arrangement with decent choreography a la Lady Gaga clips), then a great New Year's Eve TV movie/special would be released. Well, you know, it's a bit hooligan, but it's suitable for family viewing. How REN-TV once released a "Shallow Light" in defiance of the moldy television landscape on New Year's Eve. That would be more appropriate, I think.
Of the disadvantages, I note the installation - in some places it raises questions. It is clear that somewhere they cover up the budget, but sometimes there are completely strange personnel changes. And it's a pity that they didn't want to or didn't figure out how to return Tkachuk to the role of a Sorcerer/Buffoon. A necromancer who simultaneously looks like a villain from Death Stranding 2 and a blind guitarist from Fury Road is not as interesting as I think. Although he loves battles in the spirit of Guitar Hero. But Kutsenko here is enchanting. In general, the whole topic of changing "real" reality is a bit hackneyed, but in this case it looks interesting. The rest of them play the same way they played in the series. Someone better. Someone worse.
Otherwise, it's a pretty cool film, in no way discrediting the work of Kish and Gorshenev personally. At least, I don't think I was the only one who shed a tear at the end. The series is, of course, better, but I think Knyazev will no longer raise this topic, putting a bold dot on this tape.
RATING: 4 dead anarchists out of 5
POP porasha
The PUNK who became a COMER is worse than TRIDVARAS
I've mastered it 3 times, the graphics are as disgusting as possible, the blurring in dynamic scenes is as if I was watching a 240p picture, the topic with the psychiatrist is not disclosed, the necromancer as a villain is extremely liquid, the re-singing of songs has been turned into pop music.
The only good thing is the concert at the end.
The series has gone very far. And this is no way to refuse to milk the franchise further.
I'm not a fan of the band and I'm not particularly familiar with creativity, so fans don't throw sneakers.
I think the film was made specifically for fans, and the series was aimed at a wider audience.
I also thought that after Potty put on the mask, he would turn into that demonic buffoon who tormented him in the series... It seems to me that there would be another good link between the film and the series.🤔
Why can't we make a TV series where each episode will be dedicated to their iconic songs? This is a ready-made story, all that remains is to expand the plot, where the story began, how it unfolded. I would love to watch such mini-fairy tales. Yes, and even with the appropriate musical accompaniment.
The idea of a dying world is pretty banal, but it's very appropriate here.
There were cool moments - beautiful, humorous, heartwarming, nostalgic.
But why, given the personal life stories of the participants, the history of the band, and, most importantly, the rich world of KISH's songs, was the movie framed as a parody of a bunch of films from the 80s to modern Marvel? No, of course, I laughed at the Pot a la ZS/Bucky, who stole Cap's shield, got sad at the shot of Bucky, sorry, the Pot falling into the abyss, and caught a bunch of other references, but Why-Why-Why??? Is there not enough material left, has everything been embodied in the series? No. Even if it wasn't enough, they would have brought up folklore and other things, which inspired them when creating songs. Why waste the most wonderful potential with rare, if not original, content on a hackneyed and poorly embodied film parody technique? Perhaps this is the main disadvantage for me. Then there are periodically slurred speech, rapid grunting and puffing when voicing fights, the very staging of these fights, and so on.
But the main disappointment is that I expected to plunge into the full-fledged world of KISH (even real, even creative), but I got something half-parallel: one ski goes through KISH, the second through world cinema, which does not belong to the group in any way. Were you afraid that you wouldn't make a movie based on your own material without additional tricks? But the series was completely pulled out. Then why did they use such insurance here? They only hurt me.
Thanks Kish
It's a pity that everything in life is not like in a fairy tale....
