Universal Soldier: Regeneration

Те зрители, для которых такие классические картины как "Коммандо", "Терминатор", "Рэмбо", тот же "Универсальный солдат" ближе и интереснее навороченных современных блокбастеров вроде "Трансформеров" или "Превосходства Борна", останутся довольны. Кого раздражает полнейшее отсутствие харизмы у Сэма Уортингтона или постная рожа Николаса Кейджа - откровенно порадуются любимым и знакомым мордам Жан Клода и Дольфа. Для кого словосочетание "ураганный экшен" не ассоциируется с клиповым мельтешением кадров, обязательным слоу-мо и прочими наворотами, получат свою дозу удовольствия и адреналина от рубленного монтажа, классных поединков и эффектных "фаталити".

Это кино для тех, кто полюбил экшен в 80-х или начале 90-х. Более поздним поколениям можно не беспокоиться.

A simple, unremarkable action movie trying to put pressure on nostalgia. It looks cheerful, and sometimes even a more or less tolerable action skips by, but still the overall cheapness and budget are striking in almost every frame, although the special effects sometimes look pretty good. Van Damme has at most thirty minutes of screen time, and he is shown only in close-up shots, the understudies are fighting and even running for him. Lundgren was generally pushed into the film solely for the sake of referring to the first part, his character is extremely useless for the plot and does not affect anything, and the authors did not even bother much with explaining his appearance.
In general, of course, it is a little better than the mediocre second part, but it does not reach the original Universal Soldier, and even more so it does not reach the classic fighters either in quality or atmosphere.
