"Doctor Who": season two trailer introduced new companion Belinda Chandra
There's a new companion in the Doctor Who universe. In the first teaser for Disney+ and BBC's second season, viewers saw Varada Sethu as Belinda Chandra, who decisively declares to the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa): "You need to get me home!"
The trailer hints at an apocalyptic invasion: spaceships and robots roam the planet as the stunned Doctor exclaims: "What the hell is this?!" Also appearing in the clip is Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson), the Doctor's companion from season one, finally disproving rumors of her departure from the show.
According to the official synopsis for season two, "The Doctor meets Belinda Chandra and begins an epic quest to get her back to Earth. But a mysterious force is stopping their return and the time-traveling TARDIS team must face great dangers, ferocious enemies and wilder terrors than ever before".
The teaser premiered after the release of the Doctor Who Christmas special episode titled "Joy to the World". In the episode, "Bridgerton" star Nicola Coughlan joined the Doctor on a dinosaur-related adventure. Her character Joy accidentally opens a portal to the 'Hotel of Time' and encounters ancient creatures and a deadly danger that threatens Christmas and all of human history.

20Actually, the actor is gay, if I'm not mistaken. When he was cast in the lead role, I already knew what he was going to race in.
Anyway, he's very charming and looks great as a Doctor. Although I'm not used to the Doctor changing clothes so often, they usually had some kind of permanent suit)
Capaldi and Tennant once played this role, but we never saw their kilted Doctors.
Thanks Jokey for meeting the quota for Scottish Doctors in kilts. 🤌
Previously, we were left with hints and intrigue in the relationship between the Doctor and Jack, now we have been axed and nose-poked.. Well, that's... no romance, no flight of fancy. There's nothing to fantasize about.. sadly
