Cameron Diaz turned out to be "Back in Action"
Netflix has revealed the trailer for the superagent movie "Back in Action". The movie will premiere on January 17, 2025 on Netflix.
The story begins with a married couple consisting of Emily and Matt, along with their children, stopping at a gas station. But their tranquility is disturbed by a gang of bikers, whose goal is to eliminate the family. The couple use their forgotten spy skills to deal with the threat and soon find themselves on the run. They are forced to tell the children the truth about the past, and seek help from Emily's mother, who happens to be excellent with a machine gun. Meanwhile, the kids have a hard time believing that their parents, who bake homemade bread and play Pickleball, are real superagents.
The movie also stars Kyle Chandler ("Friday Night Lights"), Andrew Scott ("Ripley"), and Jamie Demetriou ("Fleabag").
For Diaz, the role is her first since "Annie" (2014), where she also starred alongside Fox. The "Charlie's Angels" star took a long pause in her acting career, tired of constant traveling.
For Foxx, the film was also his first major release since suffering a stroke in the fall of 2024. Most recently, he released the stand-up special "What Had Happened Was..." in which he shared his experiences.
