7 series that got shut down at their peak. Part 1

"Revolution"
3.31 out of 5 on MyShows | 2 seasons | 2012 — 2014
All of our lives are tied to electricity. But what if one day it disappears? In an instant, the world is plunged into darkness: airplanes fall from the sky, hospitals are blacked out, communications are severed. Civilization rolls back to life before the Industrial Revolution. Fifteen years pass like this. People adapt: living in small communities, lighting candles in the evenings, the world seems calmer. But the illusion of safety is shattered when the local militia kills the father of a young girl who was hiding the secret of the great blackout. Searching for answers, she embarks on a dangerous journey to discover the truth about the past and try to change the future.
"If I were to close it, I should have closed it after the first season, it wouldn't have been such a shame (This season came out better and the ending was intriguing, plus I really like the Miles-Monroe duo)", — mir4ik
"man, it's been almost a year since the show was canceled, and I miss it... I miss the adventures of Miles and Monroe... I can't wait to rewatch it", — Marley
"I watched two seasons in one breath. I still don't understand why the show had such low ratings. It's a shame they closed it down. The sequel came out in comic book form", — Zelotus

"Hannibal"
Crime, drama, horror | 4.29 out of 5 on MyShows | 3 seasons | 2013 — 2015
Will, a gifted, deer-eyed FBI agent, investigates elaborate murders, suffers from insomnia and migraines, and as emotional support connects with a sophisticated therapist — an aesthete, a gourmet and, as we know from the beginning, someone far more dangerous. Suspicious superiors, strange relationships and a brilliant team of pathologists only add to the flavor of the story. We understand who Dr. Lecter is, but poor Will is left wondering where this deadly "friendship" will take him.
The perverse obsession of the characters with each other is brought to a theatrical conclusion in the finale of the third season. The pair embrace on top of a cliff after dealing with a psychopathic killer together... right before Will decides to jump off the cliff with Hannibal. It's certainly poetic, though it killed fans in its day. Showrunner Bryan Fuller had one more season planned before NBC shut the show down, forever leaving the fate of the main characters in limbo.
"That's it, folks. I certainly really hope that the project only gets frozen, that one of the channels buys it, but let's look at things realistically. This was the most beautiful ending to the most beautiful series on television. Everything, from the very first scene to the scene after the credits, was very painful, was very and very tragic, and also beautiful.
That the ending of the story of Riba and Dee, that the end of Dragon, that the end of Hannibal and Will - all of it made me freeze and not breathe.
Especially about the last one I would like to say .I can't even think of a better ending to this series. Everything is very right as it is. You know, the sickest, most abnormal, but also dark and beautiful love story. Yes. Exactly like that." — Wendy_Moriarty
"Divine ending. Don't want a sequel. It's perfect, even more perfect than last season's ending, and I thought it couldn't be beaten......oi who am I kidding, I'd eat my foot for a sequel!!!" — ForeverLannister
"In fact, someone inside of me is swearing profusely, but the only thing I can say out loud is 'Amazing! Divine! Perfect!" Because it's a truly giftedly crafted finale that sums up the entire story. More would be an outright overkill, and so one can only gasp with delight. Delightful!" — crouch

"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles"
3.63 out of 5 on MyShows | 2 seasons | 2008 — 2009
The spin-off takes place after the events of the movie "Terminator 2". Sarah Connor tries to keep her son John, the future leader of the resistance, safe from the hands of robots. They are aided by an unexpected ally — Terminator.
The show abruptly ends at the finale of the second season at the most inopportune moment for the plot. John finds himself in a future where his name has been mysteriously erased from everyone's memory — and we never find out what happened next.
"The series is not bad, only the lack of adult ratings is very noticeable... And as always closed at the most interesting", — John_Crichton
"Watched this show when it was still on the air. I watched it again today. Man, what a great show. Probably even better than the 3,4,5 parts of the movie", — kaynix
"Bitch closed without even finishing the ending, it was hard for them to shoot 5 minutes of time to finish it properly ((And the ending, think of yourself what will happen in the future with John Connor :))", — Horizon

"The series is great, but the ending...kind of wrapped up quickly ((", — MoonaLafnis
"I still wish the series was closed so early, I'm sure Fuller had plenty more ideas for a sequel. Somehow his projects don't have much luck at all, even though they're so good, well. Gonna miss all the characters, they're adorable :c", — twidade_lucks
"For a long time this series has been on my to watch list. God, what an incredible shame it was shut down (Enjoyed every minute of the two seasons. Incredible atmosphere) And Lee Pace as the brownie maker is just dope. Will miss Emmerson, Lily and Vivienne and the annoying but cute Olive))))))", — Akasha

Now Sam is a reaper, obliged to catch souls escaped from hell and send them back. From that point on, his life becomes a living hell...in the most literal sense.
"The ending was a bit confusing! I was expecting victory over the devil, and here we are... But it's a good series..." — Areopagite
"good series, the plot is simple, not intrusive, which is very pleasant) and the characters in general chic) especially Seok)))))", — ANemceva
"Yes, the ending demanded a continuation, but alas..." — Gordey

"Deadwood"
Crime, drama, western | 4.13 out of 5 on MyShows | 3 seasons | 2004 — 2019
1876, Deadwood, South Dakota is a hotbed of crime, where all of America's rabble flock. Here, the law has long since lost its force, and violence and corruption have become an everyday reality. Murders don't cause surprise, and dancing girls in the saloon attracts much more attention than someone's corpse.
"Deadwood deserves a sequel more than Firefly. I SAID THIS", — tubkid
"What to say. A good, quality series. Interesting characters (Ian McShane as Al is unrealistically cool), superbly recreated era. Despite the fact that the second and third seasons turned out a little weaker than the first, it was interesting to watch until the end. Which, by the way, and the end of the language does not turn to call it. Maybe we'll see the finale in the form of a movie or another season? The chances of that are still there", — to7op
"Well, why do shows like this get shut down, and all the pointless and useless bullshit about nothing lasts and lasts forever? It's a shame, man. It's clear that they're focused on the tastes of the audience, so the audience sucks, what can I say? How could you close such a series?..." — id6931682

"Southland"
Thriller, drama, crime | 4.3 out of 5 on MyShows | 5 seasons | 2009 — 2013

Tough and uncompromising, Cooper asks Ben the ultimate question: does he have what it takes to be a real cop? They're joined by Detective Lydia Adams, balancing service and caring for a disabled mother, her partner Russell Clarke, stuck in an unhappy marriage, and Detectives Nate Moretta and Sammy Bryant, overseen by Daniel 'Sal' Salinger. And patrol officer Chickie Brown dreams of becoming the first woman on the SWAT team.
"By far the best series in the crime drama genre. All 5 seasons watched with great interest and felt a lot of emotions. Alas, the ending left a lot of questions. More would be such series", — Genosse
"This was not the ending I was expecting. I didn't expect the ending at all, to be honest, and as for me, a couple more seasons could have been filmed, because these five are watched in one breath. The episodes have almost no comments, which is characteristic - I immediately turned on the next one, there is no time to discuss what's next, how they are there, the guys on the street? But still, I do not think that the characters deserved such a farewell", — alina-krsk
"Really, one of those series that was worth the time spent watching it. It's a pity that there is no continuation, the finale, I agree with many, smeared. And the ending, so what. I wanted to get better characters at the finale, and the story of Cooper and Ben's development is so wrong, and that's the whole point, if there was a sequel, probably everything would be at thethey came to normal, but so threw them to the bottom and the final, the end, the curtain, so sad...
But the series is good, quality and the actors played just above all praise", — nemmi

136But Hannibal, I really liked season 2, but I couldn't master season 3, I literally fell asleep several times on episode 1, so I don't understand what peak we're talking about. Although, the taste and color..
In my opinion, the last season was already superfluous. The first 2 seasons are great.
The dead are waiting in line for viewing.
It's not much of a list, there are series that really hurt. Bring Back from the Dead, Firefly, Cards, Money, Lawyers, Chudopad and many others.
By the way, Deadwood has a bit of a unique story...
the series was shut down at its peak. For many years, fans were outraged that the series was unfinished. All the locations had already been dismantled, it was said that it was impossible to make a sequel, one of the actors died, etc.
But in the end, 13 years later, HBO was able to make the end of the story, in the form of a TV movie. It only caused chagrin that it was already a pale semblance of a TV series. Personally, I was blown away that one of the many minor characters was given almost the most time, prescribed a full-fledged happy ending, etc.
P.S. I wouldn't be surprised if Hannibal is still renewed.
A couple of them are so infatuated that I even reviewed them. despite the fact that everything is wrong with the ending..
But even this, imho, is better than when they just cut everything off.
The only thing I can't accept more is the closure of Mighty Bush, perhaps faith in seasons 4 will die with me. 🤡
Hannibal will forever remain the most beloved series, beauty and aesthetics in its purest form. The ending is perfect for me personally, as a fan of open finals.
I didn't know, thanks. I looked at it only last year.
At least now there's a remake in the form of an Agency.
The revolution was worth watching only because of Miles and Monroe, as we have already written above. Everything else is just another plot-sucking.
Reaper - I didn't know it was popular)) but the series is very funny, Ray Weiss as Satan is great)
I hope the second collection will remember the wonderful Stargate Universe. That's the closure of which series I'll never forgive.
I watched The Forgotten Ones this morning, a good and soulful series with only one season.
And after all, the ending clearly drew a sequel, but alas (
In general, many good projects were released in 2022, but almost all of them immediately shut down.
I don't know if this is related to that very situation, but that doesn't change the fact...

And the last episode of the last minister did not wait(
But the Mind Hunter still won't let go(
And most importantly, how did you spend your time, if the series is basically amazing/ a masterpiece, then it doesn't matter what the ending is. Take the same Deadwood, yes, it's ragged, and the final TV movie is a pale semblance, but all 36 episodes of this series are just an amazing sight.
It was a big disappointment when the Messiah series was closed, I really liked the first season, I was even surprised that it was closed.
Code 100 was not completed in the subject at all, even if one of the gg died, they could have replaced it, but do not leave the story in the middle of the plot. I have no desire to read the book, I just wanted to watch the series.
It was extremely disappointing when these 2 projects were shut down.
Terminator is very much an amateur, not everyone has gone, let alone fans. And Summer Winter didn't become a star either.
Summer Glau, maybe?
Now, whenever and wherever you want, you can watch the series and the actors hype much more often. In short, if Summer had acted in our time, she probably would have become a star, maybe even they would have taken her to a big movie.
The Stargate was unlucky the most. They still won't be reborn, and they haven't removed the ending from Atlantis. And now all the actors are old, only Teal'c is forever young.
