The spin-off of the popular franchise kicks off on April 7.

Streaming service Crunchyroll has announced the premiere date for the anime prequel "My Hero Academia: Vigilantes". The spin-off will begin releasing on April 7.

Japanese studio Toho Animation has already presented a trailer of the project. The anime will tell about the events that precede the main plot of "My Hero Academia".

The main character is Koichi Haimawari, an ordinary student who dreamed of becoming a hero, but gave up on his dream. In a world where 80% of people have superpowers (Quirks), few people get to be a real hero. However, everything changes when Koichi and Pop☆Step are rescued by Real Steel. They end up joining the world of illegal justice fighters themselves.

Meanwhile, the eighth and final season of "My Hero Academia" is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2025.

People who have read manga say this even better than the original. The extreme seasons are damn good, Xs as a spin-off will surpass this.

@KudasaiYo: I've only read the arc about Aizawa, Mika, and Shikarumo's youth. It doesn't give anything new in general, but it perfectly reveals the latter, adding even more pain to his story.
