"Rick and Morty" celebrated April 1 with the first teaser for eighth season
On April 1, Adult Swim TV held a special broadcast event to present a theatrical collection of key scenes from the "Rick and Morty" series. At the conclusion of the event announced the premiere date of the eighth season — May 25.
The plot of the eighth part is still kept secret. According to the official synopsis, viewers are again waiting for adventures with the participation of all the key characters: Rick, Morty, Summer, Jerry, two Beths, and other characters. The creators note that the new series will focus not only on humor and fantastic plots, but also on the internal changes of the characters: in particular, the development of Morty, who will begin to think more deeply about the relationship with Rick.
The series remains one of the most successful animated comedies on cable television, with "Rick and Morty" winning two Emmy Awards and several high-profile renewal contracts during its run, including ordering 70 episodes at once.
