"Dexter: Original Sin" has been renewed for a second season

The series "Dexter: Original Sin" officially renewed for a second season. This was announced by Paramount + and Showtime, noting that work on the script will begin soon, and the date of filming will be announced later.
The project became the first prequel in the "Dexter" franchise and tells about the teenage period of Dexter Morgan's life. Events unfold in Miami in 1991, 15 years before the original series. Dexter is an ordinary at first glance student who learns to kill under the supervision of his adoptive father Harry. It's Harry who instills in his son the "Code of Harry" — a set of rules that says only those who "deserve" to kill can be killed.
The show "Dexter: Original Sin" premiered on December 13 and grossed 2.1 million in its first three days. The finale, released on Valentine's Day, attracted 2.68 million: that's how it became the most watched episode of the season and surpassed the pilot in streaming figures by 30%. That's a Showtime record for the last ten years.
